It was lovely to walk the super Sparky today. Another happy hound who enjoys his interaction with people. When I left this afternoon he was on his bed with his head on Helen's lap. I hope shes not still there!!! Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

What a fantastic day and greyt amount raised. Thanks to everyone who came and supported the kennels. It was so lovely to see so many families and their gorgeous, well behaved hounds. They all queued patiently to see Santa. Thanks to Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule to come and visit us, and to Lucy for capturing it with her camera. Thanks to everyone for their help, the cakes and mince pies went down a treat as did the doggie bags. It was lovely to see Ruth, she was feeling very poorly but didn't want to miss coming in. Hoping that she will be 'sorted' after her next surgery and normal service will soon be resumed.

What a day! I met Santa! I loved Everything, it all started with seeing Auntie Kate while she was walking the residents! I was very happy to see her! It was so nice see everyone and get so much attention. Santa was great he gave me treats and cuddles! I even got a present! Don’t know what it is but it smells nice! I asked for lots of food for Christmas because it’s my favourite thing! I helped Florence out as unfortunately she couldn’t make it today so I helped make sure she got a present off Santa! Can’t wait to see her at Christmas! I heard Auntie Klaire last night. It was really weird because I couldn’t see her but I could hear her. I tried my best to find her but apparently she was only FaceTiming what ever that is. Me and the humans had a great day! Barney Xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Had a lovely time at the Christmas Party today :)) As Angie and Jo didn't need me to do any party "things" this morning I actually managed to go on two walks and had the pleasure of taking little Scruffy and big Drew out. Two very different sized dogs :)) but they both walked beautifully and were great company. Skip and Lyra had great fun meeting Santa, Lyra went in and jumped on to Santa's bed! He scooped her up and she sat on his lap. :)) can't wait to see the photos! Poor Santa, Mrs Santa and Lucy were exhausted by the time they had seen every good boy and girl! Xx It was amazing to see so many lovely Greyhounds at the kennels and to hear how much their families love them. Xx So good to see Ruth even though she didn't feel well...sending lots of love. Xxx Xxx

Lovely to see you briefly Lucy. Sorry we didnt have a proper chat....it was soooo busy and Melly was feeling a bit stressed with all the waiting so his legs were very wobbly and we went into the office for him to recuperate after seeing Santa who gave him many cuddles. Mia is growing!!! Such a good baby. You are obviously doing something right kiddo! Jet is so well behaved. Bless him....he is still looking great. Yes, Drew & Princess are lovely. I had lots of cuddles the other day with Drew who reminds me of Fergal. I hope you all have a lovely 1st Christmas with Mia and hopefully we will see you sometime next year. It will be the start of an interesting adventure for all of us as we take the fork in the road to independence. I am praying for not too many bumps in the road. Take care all. Xxx

We had a wonderful morning so thank you very much! Jet came back smelling and looking wonderful with shiny teeth and we can't wait to see our photo from lucy of jet and mia...think he preferred his sister there, santa wasn't as scary! You're all amazing for all the hardwork you do and every event we come to is so much fun! The kennel hounds as always looked comfy and cosy and so well looked after! All the hounds pull at my heart strings but drew and princess particularly caught my eye today. If we had the time and were in the market for another one of them would definetly have been coming! Xxx
