We took the delightful Kristoff to Brueton Park yesterday. He travelled well after needing help getting into the car. We had a lovely walk. He was interested in everything, even meeting a small fluffy dog, but didn't pull or leap about. Stood calmly for the 2 min silence. Wasn't bothered by children on scooters. Considering he's new to this, he was fab!

Morning All... ‘red face time’ for me! Thanks Linda for letting me know that Rosie’s record is on page 2. You’re right, I was clicking on ‘next page’ instead. Phew! I thought we’d lost those first pics of our beautiful girl. Tx

Hi Tash, so sorry to hear Rosie has been very ill. Do hope she is doing ok? Rosie is a popular name so as Linda says she is on page 2 of Rosie's! It's a lovely homing photo and I remember how happy you and John were to be taking your gorgeous girl home. Lots of love Kate Xxx

Hi Tash.... Is this your Rosie’s page (Murlough Rose) ? You’ll need to copy it into your browser. She’s on page 2 of the Rosie’s but it’s easy to miss the option to choose page 2 as it’s above the pictures not at the bottom of the page. I only found this recently quite by chance when I was looking for another dog. Linda x https://www.solihullgreyhoundtrust.org.uk/dog/1202

Drew joined me today on the brueton park walk. He jumped straight into the car, however hes a little long to fit in my boot! So he sat on the back seat, he took a while to settle down - hes got such long legs!! Once at the park he was very excited to see all the off lead dogs, however he managed to walk past some larger calmer dogs without a bother. Even when he was excited by the other dogs he was easy to control and walked like a dream most of the walk.

Hi Kate, Ruth & Jo... 2 weeks ago we came close to losing Rosie as she was so very poorly & spent time in ICU at Willows. I wanted to find our rehoming photo but her record has disappeared from the Daybreaks page. Can you please retrieve it as that’s the only copy of the photo taken when she came home with us. Thanks, Tash

Well, at least it was dry, still very chilly. Thanks to everyone who came and took a dog to the Br ueton Park walk. Those left behind had a lovely walk down the lane. We had some lovely new volunteers so all the dogs that could go had a leisurely stroll this afternoon. Lucy and Jess came in after the walk to take some photos of some of the residents. Dave once again partook in his never ending battle with nature! A massive thanks to Patrick our Duke of Edinburgh volunteer who very kindly helped clear the kennel car park of leaves. Louise had a visit from her family, not long now until she goes home. We are expecting some new arrivals this week, so keep a lookout on here to see what pretty or handsome hounds we have come in. Now going to unfroze my toes! Take care all.

Came home from work yesterday and Barney the shredder was at it again paper everywhere.ripped envelopes and old phone book. And today got in the kitchen and came upstairs with a whole malt loaf in his mouth that he would not let me have and even growled at me for trying to get it off him. It’s now twice the size with the tugging to get it off him with teeth marks on the one end.

What a stinky day! Very cold, very wet and horrible! :)) However we had lots of lovely hardy helpers :)) Thank you! Xxx The boys and girls all went out for walks this morning and this afternoon. I think the Lane was more like a paddling pool! 🙂 Many thanks to Liz for taking Kristoff to the park, they both got very wet! Xxx We had a lot of visitors despite the weather. Thank you to everyone who brought us donations of food and bedding and to the family who came in to enquire about volunteering. Tatty's new Mom came to visit her, she will be going home in the next few days. 🙂 Hoping it's a better day for the walk in Brueton Park tomorrow! Xxx

Thanks Liz_Beth for taking Kristoff to the park today. It's great to see that he was good with other breeds, I know he was good with Sara's border collie but lovely to know he was good outside the kennel environment. X

Lovely update on Tig, it must be very strange for them to be in a home for the first time with all the new sounds and smells, I'm sure it won't be long until he gets his paws firmly under the table and it will be like he's always been with you xxx

Kristoff came with me to Elmdon Park today. He is such a lovely boy. He travelled really well, settling immediately. Once at the park he wasn't fazed by other breeds. He walked happily despite the mud and rain. He's a real sweetie and I'm sure he'll make a great pet xx
