Elmer has a sleepover at Richard and Shirley's tonight 🙂 They took him and their lad Murphy to the fund raising event at Stratford Race Course this evening. Had a photo earlier from Shirley of Elmer, Murphy, Cello and Maisie all looking very comfortable in their lounge. :)))) Xxx

Great to see Cleo, now called Chloe go home today. Our volunteer Dave was very pleased to hear of her name change...he has been calling her Chloe since she arrived!! She was very proud to have her photo taken with her new toy! Wishing her and her new Mom lots of happy times together. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A great day for the Daybreaks residents today. :)) Cleo went off to her new home with her lovely new Mom. Xxx We had lots of visitors which resulted in gorgeous little Wilma being reserved and a family who went home to think about a certain young lady....fingers crossed Xxx We had several customers for nail clipping including frequent visitor Star, who has been in his home for four years. He is as handsome as the day he left the kennels but going a little grey now. :)) Sarah and Steve came in with Grayson, he looks great! He wasn't too sure about coming back to the kennels at first, think he thought he was being returned! Many thanks to Steve for fixing the tumble dryer for us. Xx We also had visits from families whose lads are joining us to volunteer in the next few weeks. They were all smitten with the dogs. Suerez loved the extra attention and grooming he received from Ben who really wanted to take him home. 🙂 All the dogs enjoyed meeting all the visitors, sure it brightened up the day for them! :)) I am so greatful for everyone's help today. Thank you!! Xxx

FANTASTIC. I am SO happy for you Wilma. As the judge said last week at the show when she gave you 5th place (out of a lot of entries), she couldn't resist that little face. Don't forget to take your rosettes with you (3rd in 4-5 age group too). We're not at the kennels this week so may not see you before you go home. If we don't then be a good girl and we look forward to updates. Lynne, Simon, Skip and Sam. x

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

I got to meet our new arrivals this morning, they are gorgeous. We had no Angie today, and found ourselves short of some of our usual Friday people. Thanks to everyone who came in and helped. The weather couldn't make its mind up, thankfully the walkers managed to keep relatively dry. Not good for trying to dry the washing! It was lovely to see Ruth, Tig and Momma for a couple of hours. Lorna had a customer for a pamper. Dave fought his never ending battle with nature, no sooner had he swept up all the leaves another lot had fallen!! It's a bit like the Forth Bridge, once you finished painting it you have to start again!! Well, here's hoping for a successful week ahead, as Angie would say 'I raise my glass to that'. Take care all. X

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Lots going on today! :)) Beautiful Sally went home this morning. She looked so pretty in her new pink fleece and winter blizzard! She has a four legged brother to show her the outside world. Wishing them great times together. :)) We had two new arrivals, Cassie was brought in by her owner. He said She is named after the character Cassandra from Only Fools and Horses and she has two brothers called....Del and Rodney! :)) She is a very young girl who wasn't interested in chasing. Xxx Our other new arrival was the very handsome Danny, his Trainer brought him in. She told us he is a really lovely, happy lad. He does like a cuddle! Xxx Thanks so much to everyone who popped in with bedding and items for the donation table. Xx It was a cold day but stayed dry for both walks. Thanks so much to all who very kindly walked the dogs for us. :)) Alan and Paddy came in armed with Chocolate donuts! Thank you. It was good to see Steve, Sara's Dad. He was really happy with next year's calendar and our tribute to Sara. He said she would have loved to see Louis on the front cover. Xxxxx

A quick Grayson update. Settled in fabulously, follows his brother around. They are the new double trouble ! Needs to learn manners round food but that will come, he is already getting better ! Starting to learn his name I think unless it is the rustle of the treat packet he is responding to? He is chilled and playful, we will have our hands full as his own personality starts to shine through. Grayson it feels like you have been here forever, love you so much ! xxxx
