Tigger
I’m Homed
We took a deep breath yesterday evening and let Tiggy off the lead in a field for the first time!!!! She ran into the distance to investigate the furthest corner.... obviously to make my heart race and slight panic enter my yells of TIGGGGGGGEEEERRRRRRRR but she came back and in one piece YAY! I have cooked bacon for her tonight and we are going for round two! You would never believe she had been through major surgery on her leg earlier this year! It will take a while before I pluck up courage to let Momma off as she is so flighty but for now she gets to use the sand run at the kennels when I am able to get there 🙂

Tiger was a very good boy on his walk this afternoon. He's a very handsome, intelligent boy, who I feel would, with the right training, make a superb pet. Xxxx

The hoomans are going on about a special day next week. But not sure what they are talking about! Unless there is food involved it isn’t that special to me! I heard the word birthday mentioned. Again no idea what that means. Unfortunately I heard another word! A word a hound doesn’t want to hear! Vet! I’m booked in for boosters next week too! Unbelievable! I need to find a way to get out of it... Lubs Barney! Xx

Well Momma, at least we know what it is. Your nose looked so much better at the weekend. Try and keep Tig from licking your Sun cream off. Tig you are completely nuts as a pup should be, but have noticed you have calmed down a little when at the kennels!

I thought I’d let you know how things are going. The vet told mom and TC that if my dressing came off after 24hrs they should leave my tail uncovered. When it did fall off on Sunday mom created a weird thing from something called ‘pipe insulation’ to stop me licking it but let air in and protect it. Uncle Jack (who came to stay with his sister Di for a few days) said I looked like I had an explosive device on the end of my tail! I didn’t really mind because they gave me lots and lots of love and cuddles! Vet was happy with moms design when I saw her on Monday, I didn’t even tremble too much - still tried to hid though! Got to go back next Monday to have my stitches out. Lovely to hear that Rosie is doing well too. Lubs to all. Florence xxx

Apologies Lucy. I wasnt being rude in not replying. I did respond but part of my post did not meet the approval criteria. If you google incident solihull town 16 Sept you can read what happened. My family went through the same trauma with my Grandmother although slightly different. I wont try to rewrite the rest of the post as I genuinely never know what can & cant be said. Hence I dont often use the system. I need lessons me thinks!!!

Crusty nosed Momma had a biospy of her nose when she was speyed and the results came back as DLE (Discoid lupus erythematosus) which is an uncommon auto immune disease of the skin. We have been trying her on steroids and antibiotics but it is not helping so we are going to stick with plastering high factor kids sun cream on her nose morning and night which Tigger has great pleasure helping her lick it off!!!!! Momma is coming on in leaps and bounds whereas Tigger is just pure leaps and bounds :-))) They make us smile every day x

Oh no seana, hope everything is ok. The pair of them are rebels and both thieves for food so definetly acting as a tag team. Goose is definetly our vinnie reincarnated so we like to think hes sent us for him. Yes new 2 legged arrival should have been here a week ago but is so far refusing to budge! Not sure if its aware of all the furry and feathered siblings its going to have! Xxx

After a bit of drama, when we thought we were locked out this morning, the rest of the day went quite smoothly again. Thanks to Sue who did the vet run for us this morning and this afternoon. Ben went along this morning for his vaccination, Cleo was meant to be going to be neutered but due to her having a funny tummy, poor Elmer drew the short straw and took her place. He was quite bright when he got back this afternoon but not ready to eat his dinner. We left him snoozing on his bed with Evie being the good nurse. Thanks to the volunteers who came to day which meant that all the boys and girls were able to have morning and afternoon walks. It also meant that Richard and Declan were able to finish clearing the path from the carpark to the sand run, so that those attending 'Let the stars shine again' on Saturday evening wont need to fight there way through the bushes. Welcome to our new work placement Lucy, she enjoyed her day with the dogs but I think we had worn her out before she went home this evening, think it is all the walks. Quiet day for visitors today though with only a couple of visitors this afternoon to use the sand run. Well that's for now, I'm going to try and have a nice rest now before doing it all again on Thursday, when I believe we will be having some new arrivals.

Lucy, after being caught up in a traumatic incident that ended in tragedy yesterday your story has made me laugh which was very much needed. Tell Jet not to tell Fergal!! My grandson keeps giving me the evil eye every time he sees me clear the decks & lock everything away. I am obviously spoiling all his fun by preventing him from stealing, opening bags of yummies whether they be his or mine!! I assume you can't come Saturday eve?? Jo and I decided we need to go to Specsavers as neither of us had any idea that a new addition was on its way!!! Do let me know when the happy event happens. Love to Jet & Goose from all of us xxx

So jet thinks all his birthdays have come at once...my husband and I were in the office upstairs and he'd left his steak for tea out to breathe on the work surface...so unbeknown to us jet and the new kitten goose had gone down, goose had pushed it off for jet waiting underneath then jet brought it to their bedroom where they polished the whole thing off between them! Daddy wasnt too impressed, mommy nearly wet herself laughing. At this point jet would like to express how other greys need to realise how wonderful cats are and that you might get homed quicker if you like them! Xxx
