2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
It was unusual Bank Holiday weather today....the sun was shining all day! :)) Molly is now officially adopted! We wish her a very happy life with her two Greyhound buddies Xxx We had several lovely visitors this morning. Seana came in to help clean and feed and brought her fab threesom Mel, Teddy and Fergal, who is looking a lot happier since he has had his dental. 🙂 Then we had a visit from Charlie, his Mom brought him in for a pamper. He looked very handsome! He is a very sweet lad. Xxx Next to pay us a visit was Gorgeous George! Wow what a difference...when he came into the kennels he had a bad split at the end of his tail and he looked a little rough around the edges. He certainly is absolutely stunning now and his tail has healed beautifully. His Mom and Dad say he is perfect. Xxx We had a viewing from a family looking for a cat friendly Greyhound, we did test out latest new arrival Penny, but sadly she didn't pass. It was a very hot day again, so walks this morning and fun in the runs with the paddling pool and hose pipe this afternoon. I saw Dewey fetch the ball out of the water and bring it back! :)) Maisie apparently decided it was a good place to have a wee! :))) It has been difficult trying to keep them all cool. Many thanks to everyone who gave up their Bank Holiday to help with the dogs today. You are all so kind. We are expecting a new boy tomorrow....he is only two years old, so just a puppy! :)) Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Ok, so today I am going to try and do my post before I lose it like last week! It was already getting really hot by morning walk time. Thanks to Nick and Martha, Ruby Rebels parents for coming in to do walks. As it was so hot the dogs had a nice stroll along the lane to the farm and back in the shade. This afternoon it was paddling pool and hosepipe playtime, way too hot to even contemplate a walk. Some were less enthusiastic than others. We did have a real surprise with one little resident. Despite being very shy, gorgeous little Dewey decided she liked to play fetch with a ball! She was clever enough to work out if it was thrown into the pool she could put her front paws in the water and with one pull the ball towards her and get it back out. She was so cute and really enjoyed herself. Kennel mate Willis just watched in amusement, especially when he realised she wasn't about to give the ball up to him. Maisie had to have her turn last as when she has had enough splashing around in the pool she wees in it. Lovely. Very quiet for visitors, only one couple to buy food. I did try to press them into having another dog but hey ho! Can't win every one. The dogs were settled this evening with lovely fans on to keep them nice and cool. Hopefully some of our reserved hounds will go home this week meaning some more of our waiting list dogs can come in and wait for their well deserved forever homes. Well tis now wine o'clock, nice glass of chilled rose (sorry Angie you may need to patent your sayings)!

So happy to see Robbie go home yesterday. He couldn't quite decide where he wanted to sit in the car. He started off in the boot then changed his mind and had his front legs on the passenger seat and his back legs still in the boot! He did look funny :)) eventually he settled for sitting next to his lovely new Mom in the passenger seats. Xx Do hope he is being a good boy for them!! Xxx

Saturday....so sorry for the belated Daybreaks Diary! It was so lovely to see Ruth for a while yesterday! She looks so much better than the last time I saw her. :))) Momma came along too. 🙂 Eric's Mom and Dad came to sign his paperwork. Such a very special lad. Xxx It was great to see lovely Robbie go home too. :))) Hope he is being a good boy. Xx Thanks so much to everyone for all their help yesterday. It was really warm so afternoon walks were cancelled and out came the hosepipe and paddling pool again. Xxx Xxx

Toney
I’m Homed
Tony continues to love his walks, he is like a machine, just keeps going and going and he just loves being out and about. Ripple does her best to keep up and they have walked more than twenty miles this week, in total. Early walk this morning as it was already 20 degrees at 09.00. Wish we could still pop in and see you all, they miss their pamper sessions.

My goodness!! Blink & they will all be gone at this rate! Well done handsome. It is much better for an unsure character like you to get into a decent home sooner rather than later. Less upheaval & you can get on with a nice retirement. Hope it will be a happy & healthy one. Xx
