Molly
I’m Homed
I was visiting the kennels when Molly went back out on foster to her family. She has been with them on trial for just under 3 weeks but she was back at the kennels for 2 weeks whilst the family went on holiday. She was so happy, wagging her tail when they came to collect her and hopefully (keeping everything crossed) they may sign the adoption paperwork next weekend if she continues to do well. She has been chewing and struggling to settle at night downstairs but she is such a youngster I am sure she will soon learn the ropes!

Bell
I’m Homed
I am over the moon that my little girl has gone to the couple who I met a few weeks ago at the Melbicks roadshow. The gentleman fell in love with Bell instantly & wanted to take her there & then!! The wife said lets wait till we come back from holiday. I said if they reserved her then I would foster her for their holiday as I was so keen for them to have her. We had such a long chat & I was so worried another offer might come along. I had such a good feeling about this couple so I was praying really hard they would come back from hols & come & see if Bell was still there!! My prayers were answered. It never pays to get too attached to a resident & I don't believe I show physical favourtisim but for some reason I had a good bond with this little girl so I feel I will sleep well knowing who she has gone too. It was a bit hard saying goodbye to you today. Be good sweetheart. I hope you will be so happy & who knows, maybe we will see you again one day. Xxx

Wow! What news. Too much to comment on individual dogs posts for now so I'm posting one big YAYYYYYYYYYY! on here. I am tearful with happiness, particularly for the long stayers. I so hope Annie gets on ok. She so deserves it. We're going to kennels this morning so will give lots of cuddles and tell them all to be good girls and boys in their new homes. I know they want to please. x

Honey G
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Well our three chums, Eric, Bell and Honey G have been sharing the kitchen run and kennel for sometime; it's wonderful they have all found homes within the last couple of weeks. 🙂 Great to see Honey reserved today. She is lovely. Xxx

Annie was a little shy of her new Mom and Dad when she met them today but it was so sweet to see her follow them around the run when she thought they were not looking at her! Xxx

A really busy day and it didn't rain! :)) Elsa was the first little girl to be reserved this morning by a lovely couple who liked her and our special little Annie. They decided on Elsa, but later in the afternoon they called to say they would like to offer Annie the chance of a home with them too :)) Obviously if they really don't like each other it may not happen but I'm sure they will be fine. Please keep everything crossed they do like each other :))) xx A short while after Honey G was reserved. :)) She has a lovely home to go to. :)) Thanks to all who came and walked the dogs today and helped out with feeding. 🙂 I was just saying goodnight to the boys and girls when I discovered someone had left a little present in their kennel for me! 🙂 I won't embarrass them by giving a name! :))) it didn't take long to clean it up and pop them back in for bed. :)) what's a bit of poo matter anyway!! Xxx

I had the pleasure of speaking to the lovely people who have reserved Elsa, I also mentioned Annie as being our longest stayer. Hopefully if Elsa and Annie pair up well they will have their forever homes with very experienced greyhound owners. Hoping all goes well. X

So glad for Annie. When we visited she was on our four dog shortlist but the poor poppet was just petrified despite our best efforts to win her over. On the upside it meant we ended up choosing Betty.

OMG!!!! Not 1 but 2 long stayers plus a newbie with a home to look forward to. A little tear of pure joy is falling. I have been so worried about little Annie. She has been passed by for no real reason but chances comes to all those who wait patiently & wait for their chance to shine. She has certainly done this without complaint. I am so glad I was unable to do the roadshow with Honey G today as she might have missed her chance!! And shy Elsa, bless her. She will have a short stay but being shy its probably better she gets into a stable home asap. And so its goodbye to most of our regulars and hello to the next generation of residents who will wait patiently. Just need that special home for Willis & Dewey now. Well done everyone!!! I look forward to hearing all about the new homes over the next couple of days. X
