2019 Daybreaks Diary!

It was a very busy day with a visit from The Pet Blood Bank. Along with several donations from pet dogs we had donations from Daybreaks residents Bell, Honey G, Bocko, Razzle, Robbie, Willis and Tommy. All very brave.. :)) The Pet Blood Bank will be back in October. if you are interested in your dog becoming a Blood Donor please contact them on 01509 232 222 for more information. Lucy took some lovely photos of the dogs wearing their Pet Blood Bank bandanas including the one of Bell and Honey G on our diary page. :)) The weather was very unpredictable today, hot and sunny one minute and a monsoon the next. Unfortunately our walkers this morning got wet more than once! Gill, Nick and their two walking companions came back from their walk absolutely soaked, but not entirely the fault of the rain. A truck had managed to drive through a large puddle at speed which resulted in the water being deposited onto all of them! They were very hardy and went on another walk. :)) Nick had left Ruby Rebel in the office while he went for a walk. I went in and discovered my Milky Way half eaten and on his bed! Xxx:))) We had a missing Tracker...it decided it wanted to spend the day in Old Damson Lane. Despite several search parties armed with a phone with the Tracker app on it and the sound and light activated on the missing tracker it remained missing in action until this evening when Richard and Declan finally found it in a puddle happily swimming around! It is now safe and well and on charge!! :)) Many thanks to everyone for all their help today. So very much appreciated. 🙂 Xxx

Dessie is just coming up to 3 weeks in his new home and he is doing really well. Settled in well at home and relaxed in the office too, currently sleeping under the desk. Not great with other breeds yet, so I am looking for anyone with greyhounds that might offer a doggy day care maybe just a couple of days a week. I have found a kennels that would but I can't see him loving it and he is really a lovely boy. anyone who might be able to help with a greyhound friendly day care, I would be really pleased to hear from you 07957 671 749 - thanks

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

It was great to see Betty go home today. She was very excited to see her new family and couldn't wait to get in the car and start her new life with them. :)) Really hope all goes well and Claire, her previous owner can relax knowing Betty has a lovely new home. Xx We had enough walkers to make sure our residents had walks morning and afternoon today. It was a nice day but not too hot. 🙂 Charisma's new Mom and Dad came for a quick visit to see their little girl. They were just passing and couldn't resist popping in to say hello to her. Xx We had a visit from a past resident the very handsome Tommy. He came for a mini pamper with Lorna. He really wasn't impressed to have his nails clipped! We had to feed him a constant stream of treats to take his mind off what was happening to his feet! Bless him. :)) Thanks so much to everyone who helped out today. It was brilliant to see our lovely Yvonne back at the kennels today after breaking her wrist a while ago. She was very happy to be cleaning the kennels again and Razzle very obligingly supplied the poo to clean up that she has been missing so much!! 🙂 It's Pet Blood Bank day tomorrow! Xxx

It was a real pleasure to meet this little girl today. She stood patiently while I got her lead, muzzle,tracker and cool coat on her and then she walked beautifully with Willis. She is a very pretty girl. Cuddles for her xxx

Sending lots of love and cuddles to Betty for her first night with her new family in her brand new home. A big Thankyou to Nibody for welcoming Betty into your family. I do hope you bring each other lots of happiness and that all goes smoothly with settling her in. She really is a lovely girl and very deserving of a settled life. It’s a brilliant rehoming picture and you look like a lovely family for Betty to become part of 🙂 A huge Thankyou to everyone at the kennels, particularly Kate. It was the hardest decision to make but knowing that she was in the care of the kindest people to help her find a new home meant it was no harder than it needed to be. Fingers crossed that Betty’s friends in the kennels find their forever homes soon xxxxx

I had the pleasure of Razzle's company today on his morning walk. He walks very well and really is a cheerful chap. He loves a good fuss and is very handsome. He would be a lovely addition to someone's sofa x

I walked Wendy last week and have been on a walk with her today. I have to agree with everything Lady Victoria has said. She walks calmly and loves any attention she can get. She's a very sweet little lady x
