Robbie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Lucy took Robbie in the sand run this afternoon. He had a lovely time! He loves to play with toys and does give them back to you. 🙂 Any of our volunteers who have walked him will tell you he is not happy about turning around to come back to the kennels! 🙂 He is a quiet lad and no trouble to look after. He is affectionate and loves a cuddle. Xxx

Razzle

Razzle is a fabulous lad. He is a pleasure to be around and a great walking companion. I have taken him to visit the vet twice, both times he has jumped into the car and settled down straight away. He has been good when meeting other dogs and he loves a cuddle! Oh and he is very good looking too! Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

It was Razzle's turn to visit the vets for his neutering operation today. He is such a good boy travels perfectly in the car and has lovely manners when meeting new people. 🙂 Thanks so much to Sue for picking him up this afternoon. She said the nurses were all smitten with him. :)) He was quite happy when he got back and ate all his dinner. Xx It was cooler today, the dogs enjoyed their walks and so did the volunteers. Xx Lucy took Robbie for a run in the sand. He had a great time! 🙂 Willis has been really settled today and loved going out for a walk. He is such a lovely lad. Xxx I am writing this whilst sitting outside with Bobby, he got a little hot and decided to sit out in the garden. :)) it's so peaceful and nice to do some night time nature watching together. 🙂 So far we have seen several moths, a couple of big spiders and a tiny field mouse!! Xxx

Daddy, just came home smelling of a Greyhound, it wasn't a normal dog I know that smell anywhere that always gets me anxious, but it turns out he had, just after his beard trimmed at the barbers on the way to the co-op he had turned back to say hello to a couple with a greyhound after walking past them and it turned out to be a male called Dennis and the couple who were owned by him were visiting Bromyard for a few days and they had got him from Daybreaks, small world, I love Daddy's beard and I think he loves, me snuggling up to it, he is on holiday this week from work and decided to clean mine and Carla's bed whilst we were lying on the bed we let him use, it looked like hard work and he said something about only him doing the cleaning as we both looked quizzically about what he was actually doing " Yeah its called cleaning and not a lot of it happens in this house " he said haven't a clue what he's on about as I do the washing up with my tongue all the time , In fact I'm so eager to do this I sometimes do it before he finishes eating ...So I just laid there with Carla Watching him, you Humans are strange things, why don't you just chill? , I love the ripped quilt, I did it myself, as ever loads of love ..... 2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Sad to see Willis come back to the kennels this morning. 🙁 He had a very settled day and enjoyed going out for walks with the other residents. Xx Beautiful Paige went off for her neutering op first thing. She is a very happy and bouncy girl normally but she found the vets rather daunting and was a very quiet little girl in the waiting room. She met a small dog and was perfect with him. She was rather wobbly when I picked her up this afternoon but she had a small dinner and received lots of attention from her friend Wendy. :)) Brilliant to see Molly reserved this afternoon. All being well she will have an older Greyhound Brother and Sister. 🙂 She is incredibly cute and a little whirlwind, I don't think they will know what's hit them! :)) We had very positive commments from people who had watched the show on Saturday. So pleased it all went well. :)) Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. We are so greateful to all our volunteers for giving up their spare time to come and help take care of our Daybreaks beauties! Xxx

My first meeting and walk with Razzle, who is a very handsome, happy lad. He was very calm when I went into his kennel, was happy for me to lead him up and then walked by my side like an old hand. Lovely boy. Xxxx

Oh my goodness Charisma is so lovely. She was a little bit unsure when we first started her walk, but with encouragement she soon realised that there was nothing to worry about and continued the walk on a loose lead. She IS sharing happily with the delightful Mollie. Xxxxx
