2019 Daybreaks Diary!

We had a slow start today and we didn't quite catch up for walks this morning. I am so very grateful to Shirley for taking Charisma to the vet for her neutering operation for me at very short notice. She only came in to use the sand run! 🙂 Xxx We had lots of help for afternoon walks :)) Paige and Wendy had a stroll around the sand run with Alan and Myra as they are still post op and not able to go on longer walks for another few days. Many thanks to Bella who fed all the boys and girls while I went and picked Charisma up from the vet this afternoon. She was not quite with it when she got back to the kennels. Xx When I checked the cameras later and she had eaten most of her dinner. 🙂 Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for your help today. Xxx Sending lots of love and get well wishes to Ruth, she had her operation today. Xxx

Poor Charisma didn't really have a great Birthday as she was at the vets being Neutered. 🙁 Think we will have to celebrate her Birthday later in the week when she is feeling better! Sending her a big cuddle tonight. Xxx.

Sorry, me again. I forgot to mention that if you had photographs taken at our birthday party, they are ready for collection from the kennels. I have mine and all I can say is they are amazing. Lucy is such a talented photographer, she really does capture the moment. You lucky people are in for a real treat. Fantastic, amazing, beautiful and much, much more. Thanks again Lucy. Xx

Ooooh..CONGRATULATIONS & celebrations.....well done Auntie Shirley & Uncle Richard. We are sooo happy for all of you and Murphy especially. We know Guiness would be so proud that you have been able to open your hearts and help another in need. Hes probably running round Rainbow Bridge bragging to all about the wonderful parents he was blessed with. Lots of love Melly & Teddy. 2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A very quiet day for volunteers again, the weather didn't help this morning. The dogs that could had some time in the sand run. Lovely little Sky came to use the run, she had a great time. It's lovely to see ex-residents and to hear and see how they are doing. We had visitors for nail clipping, food and to have a look at our beautiful residents. Thanks also for the donation of bedding, always welcome. Eric had an outing to the park this morning with Ruby Rebel and his parents, thanks so much. He was shattered when he got back! Gorgeous Dessy has been reserved, wishing him a very happy new life. We have so many beautiful dogs waiting for their forever homes. Please come and visit and see if you are tempted! My Arry accompanied me to the kennels today and took up residence in the office. He met Bea the Beagle and after an initial grumble and lots of sniffing by them both he was great and actually lay down by her. On a couple of occasions I found biscuits that he had helped himself to, he didn't eat them, he just took them and tried to bury and hide them. He's not too good at looking innocent. Angie came in at lunchtime to avoid the grand prix on telly! She decided that her mission for today was to attack the dog kitchen. Things were found that we had forgotten we had lost, some things I haven't even seen before!! Well, my feet are aching and so is my back, so I think it must be wine and recline time before I start again! Here's hoping for a successful week ahead and best wishes to Ruth wo is due to have her long awaited surgery tomorrow. Fingers crossed it goes ahead. Xx

A huge thank you to Jess and Lucy for covering the kennels yesterday. My niece was getting married, so I had a lovely wedding to attend. :)) Lyra was gutted she wasn't asked to be a bridesmaid! 🙂 You are both fabulous! Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

An early start for me today! Angie was already there letting the boys and girls out to the toilet before I started to get breakfast ready. We had our usual morning helpers, before Lucy arrived. All the dogs had both morning and afternoon walks. And myself and Lucy took Robbie into the sand run - he loves it! We have quite a few visitors in today, some potential adoptions as well as Blossom being reserved! She’s off to live with another greyhound called Maggie who we rehomed a few years ago. Thank you to everyone who came in today, everything went smoothly for mine and Lucy’s first official day covering the kennels 🙂 Here’s hoping for another busy day tomorrow! Xx
