What can I say, so very happy for Mr Treaty, he has waited so long, so pleased I managed to say goodbye to him yesterday (I think there was a queue to do this). I have previously spoken to his new owners when they were looking for a dog, and he has found a fantastic home. When some of us (well most of us) heard he was going home, there were mixed emotions. It was 'yay his very own home', followed by 'oh, we are going to miss him so very much' (or maybe the other way around!). On the board in the dog kitchen under his name was written 'best dog'! He had become a firm favourite back in kennels, funny, cheeky and normally in the upside down and inside out position. Mr Treaty Monster you will be missed so much, but so happy you have a lovely home, be good and happy. Look forward to hearing your updates. Jo xxx

This little sweetie came with me for a walk along the canals today. She jumped in the car with no need for encouragement and lay down immediately. She travelled without a peep. Once I parked up she was keen to get going. We walked for an hour at top speed (my fitbit thought that I had been on the cross trainer rather than just a walk!!). She is absolutely adorable. Her ears were pricked the entire time as she took in the sights and sounds. I'm sure she'll make a great companion and some lucky person will have the pleasure of showing her what life can be like post racing. Good luck lovely lady x

Treaty my gorgeous, although I am over the moon for you that your forever home has come at last - I don't think I am alone in saying that we will miss you in the kennels as you were such a happy, playful, cuddlesome, kissy boy! 2019 Daybreaks Diary!

In contrast to the rest of the week, today was a quiet day at Daybreaks! This morning saw the beautiful little Darcy go off to her new home, wishing her and her new family many happy years ahead. Susie's new Dad came to visit her and spent some time grooming her and sitting with her in her kennel. Our post op trio of Eric, Bolt & Susie are all doing fine. Eric's lack of teeth and the fact he must have a tender mouth haven't dampened his spirits or his appetite!! I met our newbies today and my goodness how handsome are Dan & Willis? Rosie is a pretty girl and all are settling in well. Thanks for everyone's help today. Both morning & afternoon walks were done in the lovely warm sunshine, and I pegged out a line of washing which was drying beautifully - then at 3.00 o'clock there was an almighty crash of thunder and the heavens opened!! Needless to say the doggies were not impressed with having to dash through the pouring rain for their dinner - and the washing is now a soggy, dripping mass hanging on the line!! Ah well, that's the English weather for you! Another week has flown by and with the weekend upon us again - well, you all know the drill by now! It is red wine again this evening, with fingers crossed as we have viewings booked tomorrow. Happy weekend one and all - cheers! Angie xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Lots going on today! Vet trips for a Vaccination booster for Darcy; neutering ops for Bolt and Susie and poor Eric had to have a lot of teeth removed and will need a second dental in a few weeks time. 🙁 We had two new arrivals Willis and Rosie, both gorgeous! Thanks to Lucy for the fab photos of them. You can't tell the weather was really damp, dull and cold!! 🙂 Richard and Declan had a couple of trips to the tip, bless them 🙂 It was great to see Pearl and her new Mom. They had come to use the sand run. Pearl is doing very well. So happy for her. :)) Thanks to everyone for all their help today. Xxx

Buster is a total joy to walk. Whoever adopts this delightful lad is in for fun. I understand that he won't get up in the morning until he's had 10 minutes of tummy rubs. He's taking retirement to a whole new level!!! He is one happy hound. Xxx
