Im surprised sam has come back but separation anxiety is a nasty thing for them and so annoying that you can't just tell rhem everything will be ok. Never mind Sam your time will come again xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

It was definitely a day of two halves today - with wall to wall sunshine all the way. This morning was very quiet both for volunteers and visitors, so our more energetic boys and girls had some time in the sand run, whilst the others enjoyed some time out in the feeding runs having a groom and lots of snuggles. It was very sad to see Buster returned this morning, he is such a lovely boy and we hope he finds a new home very soon. x A departure from normal Friday activities saw me up a ladder with a dustpan & brush - don't ask!!! We were putting some shade on the roof of the outdoor kitchen kennel run to try to keep Westy a bit cooler, bless him. He seems to be a little better today and certainly enjoyed watching the world go by whilst reclining on the bed. The afternoon was a very different matter!! It was great to catch up with Nifty & Cilla who came in for a pamper prior to their roadshow duties on Sunday - they left looking and smelling beautiful. We also had a visit from Eli, who was Buster when in the kennels, he looks fab and his Mum and sisters love him to bits. We also had viewings, customer for the sand run and more volunteers so the dogs could have a nice walk down the shady lane this afternoon. Many thanks for everyone's help today. On this Good Friday I will raise a glass of chilled white wine and hope that our beautiful boys & girls, especially those that have been returned to kennels and so have experienced home life, will soon find a sofa to call their own. Have a blessed Easter weekend one and all - enjoy the weather and time with your families, both 2 and 4 legged, you just never know what's round the corner. Angie xx

Jet (Westy)

Westy has been quite poorly since his neutering operation earlier this week. His kennel has been "fun" to clean! He really is a very sweet, quiet lad. We popped him in the big kitchen kennel and run last night so he was able to get outside into the run if he needed to. I'm sure he will enjoy sitting in the sunshine today. Xxx

It is heartbreaking to say that Buster was returned this morning. His owner is beyond distraught. He sadly snapped at her child. Due to family pressures, she had to return. Buster is a fabulous boy - totally clean in the house, loves his toys and can be left for long periods. He is keen with other breeds so can be a bit strong on the lead.
