Alan and Pam we are absolutely devestated. She has been through so much and deserved so much more than this. Take some comfort from the fact that you have given her an amazing few months of love and happiness. Life can be so very unfair at times. Sending our love and thoughts at this awful time. Please give her an enormous cuddle from us both. Angie & Michael x

I am devastated for you both and Spritz cerntainly didn’t deserve this. I know that you will have given her a fantastic few months and will make the best decision for her when the time is right. I don’t know what else to say but hugs to you both you are stars and I am only sorry for the result.

I am so so sorry to read this. But how lucky is she to have found you at this time in her life - love does indeed find a way - and you have her to care for at this precious time. Our hounds give us more than we can ever give them - and are always with us - hold her tight, and when the time is right let her run free forever. Sending love for me and the girl xx

Today we had to take Spritz for x-rays on her hip and we collected her from the vets late afternoon. We are devastated to have to say this poor girl has had no luck at all. She has advanced bone cancer in her right hip,the x-ray looked terrible so she must be in a lot of pain. I know this isn't what any of us ever wanted to hear and its hit us hard. We have pain killers for her and we are making her as comfortable as we can but we have a very difficult decision to make very soon.Life is so unfair at times xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Ruth was on Vet run duty this morning taking little Cara in to be neutered and have her very poorly tail looked at. It was decided in the end to postpone her neutering op, but she has had to have the majority of her tail amputated the poor little poppet. However, she didn't seem unduly worried by it as she came trotting back into the kennels this afternoon and quickly demolished a Dentastix that she found on the office floor! Well she hadn't eaten all day after all! Huge thanks to Shirley & Richard who have taken her home for a while to recuperate and help build her up a bit. Our students had a field trip this morning as they accompanied Ruth to take Tigger to her hydrotherapy session. By all accounts Tig really enjoyed her swim, and the students learned about the benefits of this type of therapy. Another very quiet day for visitors, but lots of volunteers so the doggies enjoyed 2 nice walks in the sunshine. Many thanks to everyone who helped out today. Incredibly it's the weekend again - where is the time going to? We have 2 of our boys going off to their forever homes, and some viewings booked so lets hope that more red signs appear. I will raise my glass and make my usual Friday toast - it seems to work quite well and gives me an excuse for wine every Friday!! Have a great weekend one and all - cheers! Angie xx

It is four years today since Maggie adopted us. She continues to be a total diva and I continue to love her to bits. We've had another year of adventures and she still does something every day to make me smile. I can't imagine life without her xx

Big hug for this special little girl tonight. She is going to the vets for her neutering operation in the morning. He is also going to look at her tail and decide what's the best thing to do with it. She is the sweetest little dot and loves to wag that tail! Xxx
