2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Today we were hoping to finally meet Homeric who has been on our waiting list for quite some time, but his neutering op was delayed so he will now be arriving later in the week. :)) Happy Birthday to Brian! Many thanks to Norman for taking him on a trip to the park for his Birthday. From Normans comments on his page it sounds like he had a great time and was such a good boy. We just need a belated Birthday present of a forever home for him! :)) I had the pleasure of going on two walks this afternoon first with Honey and then with Pearl, they were both lovely walking companions and we only got a little bit wet!! 🙂 Thanks so much to Sara and Declan for sorting out dinners while we were out. Xx Thanks so much to all our volunteers who take the dogs out for walks regularly come rain or shine. I am sure they appreciate it. :))

Brian has today visited Elmdon Park where his behaviour was perfect. He met other breeds of all sizes without showing any aggression whatsoever allowing them to sniff him in typical doggy meet and greet style !!! He walked on the lead and travelled in the car without any problems. A lovely lad who could possibly live with smaller other breeds and deserves to find his permanent home as soon as possible.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Tessa arrived at the kennels today. Bob and Gloria collected her for us. She is a very sweet and happy girl. We should have another boy coming in tomorrow. 🙂 The new van has been fitted with mesh doors at the sides for extra safety when the dogs are transported. It looks great! Many thanks to Linda and Paul for arranging it and for taking and collecting the van. Xx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. The dogs enjoyed their walks in the April sunshine and so did the walkers. :)) It won't be long until Easter...as our inmates can't have chocolate if you would like to treat them we would be very grateful for a tin or two of sardines in tomato sauce or olive oil or a nice tin of dog food. Thanks so much! Xx Xxx

I totally agree. I also would have him in a heartbeat as an only boy if I didnt have my 2. I always wonder why some of the boys and girls seem to get overlooked and have to wait longer. When there isnt a really serious reason pertinent to that individual then there is no real reason. It is all about the right person walking through the door and ensuring the fit for both is appropriate. I suspect Treaty will be better off as an only child so he can have all the attention. His turn will come again. We just have to be patient and be grateful that he is not suffering from kennel stress. That shows what a well rounded easy going boy he is. I love him!!! Xx

I for one cannot understand why my Mr Treaty is still here. He has so much character (by the bucket load)! so much love to give, and will not stop kissing you)! He walks beautifully, likes to play (anyone who has tried to get his coat on will know that)! I personally love this boy to bits, as most of our volunteers do too. Someone has actually written under his name 'Best Dog'. But with 4 of my own and a foster boy I just can't take him :((( He really deserves a forever home, he is such a laid back character and just loves people so much. He does look older than his years but certainly doesn't act it. He will be 6 years old on Thursdaym it would be absolutely amazing if he found his new forever home by then. X

Walked Treaty this afternoon. He is such a good boy, very happy to walk at whatever pace you choose. Very amenable to cuddles the more the better so big kisses and cuddles for him tonight xxx
