Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi everyone, quick update to let you all know that I'm still enjoying my life with Tony and our family on the Isle of Wight. I am slowing down a little and sometimes Tony goes for an evening walk without me, as my bed is so warm and cozy. When Dad is off work at the weekends we have to go for long walks to help him fit into his trousers. Lots of love to all my friends, Ripple.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

As Kate said.... yesterday started off great and by signing out time we were slightly frazzled!!!! With the return of Honey we decided to pair her with Deb who I had taken home the previous day. They have settled well together - I can’t wait to get there this morning to see Deb especially as she is such a beautiful girl. I felt gutted leaving her last night especially as she had been such a wonderful house guest. Julie visited the kennels and we did some scent training with Tig and Momma Lisa and we are going to do some with the Trust dogs today.... it’s a great way of stimulating them and wearing them out!!!

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Well today started off great....Daisy had a quick trip to the vets for a check up after her neutering op and then she finished packing her bags and went home with her new family. She has a lovely home not far from the sea! :)) The morning saw Honey returned to the kennels. So sad for her. Hope it won't be long before she finds a new home. Xx Several trips to the tip were needed so Richard and Declan, better known today as Chuckle Brother & Son set off in the old van...a few minutes later we received a phone call from them saying the van had started to smoke and had broken down on the traffic island just off the Coventry road!! After numerous phone calls to and from Head Office Ruth managed to arrange to have them rescued by the RAC :)) While they were waiting for the RAC to arrive Ruth, Dave and Lewis passed them taking another load to the tip in the new van, We did offer to deliver supplies of food and drink but they turned us down! Sadly our old faithful van has been deemed too expensive to fix and is now back at the kennels...it has made many journeys to help Greyhounds in many different ways during its lifetime. 🙂 Thanks so much to everyone who helped out today. Alan hope you feel better soon, we missed you and of course the doughnuts!! Xxx

I’ve been at it again! Earlier I decided to eat mums tights! When I say eat, try to get the cardboard off them. I may have left a few accidental holes in the tights though... Barney Xx

What a super dog Blue is. He was very excited when I went into his kennel to lead him up ready for his walk, giving nice kisses. On the walk he was quite strong, but I think that he's just excited to be out. He's very handsome. Xxxx

I seem to have a few new names, ‘Florence the canine submarine’, ‘the salty sea dog’ and ‘Little Miss Soaking Wet’ to name a few. I have no idea why but at the beach this morning I was running in and out of the sea with a doggy chum when suddenly I was completely under water, I ran back to mom and TC really quickly and shook myself. Mom said I was a ‘loon’ and was ‘very wet’ and ‘she was now very wet too’. I was a little more cautious after that only going in up to my paws! Lubs to all. Florence xx

I walked this lovely girl this afternoon. Yes she is interested in her surroundings , enjoying a good look round, but I kept her on a short lead and talked to her and she was fine walking with Debs. Xxx

Oh sweetheart, I am so sorry. And you had settled in so nicely. You are a very pretty girly so keeping all our toes crossed you will not have to wait too long and perhaps any issues with your strength on lead can be worked on whilst back in residence. Xx

Poor Honey has been returned as her owner found her too strong on the lead and she is quite keen around other breeds. On the plus side we are told she is very affectionate, clean in the house, can be left for 4+ hours and travels well in the car. If you think you can offer this beautiful girl a home, please give us a call.
