Ivern (Brian)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Brian is soo gorgeous. Initially quite keen when on his lead he soon settled and walked very nicely, taking in his surroundings, but also happy to keep walking. He is a very handsome and friendly. Big kisses xxx

Walked the adorable Honey this afternoon, she is so good on the lead, not bothered by the traffic. She walked nicely with Brian. Lovy little girly. Xxxxx

Tessa
I’m Homed
Tessa is a very friendly little girl. Very happy to be handled and thoroughly enjoyed the sand run, with a mixture of lots of sniffing and several sprints (scarely fast when she appears to be heading on a collision course with my legs!!!!). A bit apprehensive about traffic, but I'm sure she'll soon get to understand the world outside kennel life. Xxxx

Daisy
I’m Homed
Hi, seen Daisy a couple of times over weekend apparently settling nicely and even shared bed with Stanley. Seems to have a lovely nature. Getting used to her new neighbourhood - 4 shit suz (? spelling) didn't help in one go. Apparently not keen on cats either just like Stanley. She sneaks up behind you so definitely going to have to keep an eye out. Hugs for all greys. Annaxxx

Hector
I’m Homed
Hector is back being fostered with us after his holiday while I was away. He settled straight back in and has improved on a couple of things while he's been away. He'd finished his tea tonight and was about to dive in to Snip's bowl as she was still eating but immediately moved away when I told him to leave it. What a good boy! He can also now jump into and out of the car which is a relief - he's a big boy and I'd had to lift his front half then back half in to the car a week ago! I'm sure the neighbours are disappointed to not have that comedy show any more 🙂 More updates will be on their way but get in touch if you'd like to meet this lovely boy xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
It started off overcast this morning. We had very few volunteers, but we did manage morning walks. I lived in hope that this afternoon would bring more volunteers, unfortunately that didn't happen! We had what I can only describe as a mass of little dogs come for a doggie party in the sand run, I lost count but there must have been at least 12. Thankfully our residents didn't see them! They had a great time and said they would be coming again. The sun came out but was still a little chilly. Thanks to Oliver for taking the kennel dogs into the sand run after the little dog mass exodus, they all enjoyed themselves. Thanks too to Gloria who took a lovely couple who came to have a look around on a couple of walks with dogs that they may be interested in. A couple of new arrivals due this week, look forward to meeting them on Wednesday. Hoping for a good week.

Bobby
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Bobby accompanied Lyra and I to the kennels today. He had a lovely time in the sand run. He met a very sweet, pretty lady about his age and it was love at first sight! It was wonderful to see them running around together. Meanwhile Lyra was busy stealing Louis 's ball at every opportunity and getting sand all over her face. 🙂 The sand run is great place to let your dog have a race around, especially now the warmer weather is here. Bobby has slept most of the evening, probably dreaming about his girlfriend! :))) Xxx

Sam greeted us with a very messy kennel this morning, poor lad had a bit of an upset tum 🙁 Thanks to Dave for volunteering to clean his kennel! Meant Angie could get on with the others. Sam seemed fine during the day 🙂 Debs was much happier today, so hopefully feeling better. Xx Luna went home this morning. She is such a cute little girl, wishing her and her new Mom lots of happy times together. Xx Great to see Mikey reserved again today. He spent a long time with his prospective new family enjoying fuss and cuddles from them in the kitchen run. Later this afternoon he actually sat on Sara's lap! Not sure it was good for her broken hip! 🙂 He is a very affectionate lad. Xx We had lots of visitors to the kennels today. Great to see Seren again. She looked fabulous. Xx We also saw Jackie and Cliff's very handsome boys Billy and Sam. :)) Gorgeous Duke came in to have his nails cut by Jess and we had lots of doggies wanting to use the sand run. 🙂 Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. Very much appreciated. :)) Xxx

Hector
I’m Homed
The handsome Hector has had a lovely weeks holiday at our house. He is a dream on the lead, loves a fuss and neck scratch, has played with ALL the toys, chucking them about the garden and playing fetch. He has really enjoyed the company of my big softy Sully but my cheeky Tinker is starting to annoy him when he's trying to sleep now by treading all over him!? so he's looking for a forever home where he can get some peace in a bed of his own. Very affectionate boy, keen to learn. He even jumped straight in the van when we went for an outing and travelled well. Good luck Hector. X

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Another beautiful day, just like Summer with wall to wall sunshine - fabulous! We were tempted at one point to put the "Closed" sign up and spend the day in the sand run with the dogs pretending we were at the seaside!!! The boys & girls had morning playtime in the sand run, and with a few more volunteers by the afternoon they were able to go out for a walk. Thank you to those who came along to help out today. Debs seems a little brighter today, hopefully the antibiotics are kicking in and she will be back on top form soon. Having said that, she was still happy to give everyone a proper cuddle and kisses and enjoyed her walk and ate well today - bless her she is such a sweetheart. Another quiet day for visitors, so more tidying was carried out! I was like Mrs Mop this afternoon with my bucket of soapy water and scrubbing brush! I tackled the beautiful stone Greyhound statues which we have moved to a more prominent position to try to get rid of years of green algae & dirt. They now look more like grey Greyhounds again - and it was great to be able to be out in the lovely sunshine working in just a t-shirt. Sadly Mikey is no longer reserved, but I am sure it wont be long before he captures someone else's heart - he is such a lovely boy. I have some photos from when he spent the day with us last weekend which I will pop on Facebook later. As you can probably guess it's white wine time now - accompanied by a wish for a weekend of red signs for our residents. We have a kennel full of beauties at the moment. Have a good weekend one and all, and enjoy the weather. Cheers! Angie xx

Following the home visit it was felt the circumstances and time is not quite right to adopt Mikey so he is unreserved.
