    I’m Homed

Despite the early misty start the sun slowly woke up and all that could had a nice morning walk. I firstly took Daisy & Torc. Poor debs was not impressed at having to wait for my second shift and it took me some time before Daisy & I were allowed out of the kennel!! Sorry debs, I thought because you are strong in the kennel you might be strong on the lead but actually when we did go out you walked beautifully and so I think your kennel enthusiasm is just joy at seeing hoomans, getting cuddles & hopefully getting out for walkies. Daisy, as ever, is very good on the lead and today kept trying to nuzzle into my knees on our return!! She obviously isnt interested in having any male doggy love as poor old Freddie got a very good telling off prior to walkies!! Daisy, can he help it if he fancies you!! Poor Freddie......no gent likes a knock back. Torc was also excellent to walk. Thank you Jet for my usual licks & nibbles. I know you are due to leave next week but hopefully not before Tuesday so I can say goodbye. Thank you also Treaty for washing me.....I dont know if I forgot to do my face this morning or we are just sharing the love! You are a great character and although I naturally wish you were in a home it is lovely seeing you again. Apologies to the boys and girls i didnt cuddle but I had to get home to my two boys. Great to see pup Tigs & Momma.....both looking so much better and obviously enjoying their new home. And lastly, but not least, the gorgeous Bobby. A stunning example of an older gent who has obviously been very well loved and looked after. A good weight with a beautiful shiny coat and plenty of life still left to be lived. After his initial shock at finding his mum he seems to be coping very well. Whoever takes him will I think have a very special and very friendly boy. Lovely to see Ruth with them all. Weekend wishes for potential parents for all the residents. Melly, Teddy and I are off to enjoy the last of the days sunshine before its too late.

We had two gorgeous new arrivals today. Torc and Caitlin. Both very friendly and happy dogs. Whoever gets to take them home will be very lucky! We had visits from ex Daybreaks resident Vera, her Dad treated her to a pamper with Lucy. We also had a visit from Jilly and her Mom. Both Vera and Jilly looked fab! :)) Monty and Mille also popped in for a manicure. 🙂 Richard did some more painting, this time the wall in the new cat run. It looks great. 🙂 Our other Chuckle Bro, Alan, put together two great raised beds that have been donated by Stanley's Mom & Dad. So kind of them, Thank you Xx The afternoon walks proved a challenge as after seeing a bicycle Rocky managed to lose his Tracker. :(( Dave and Declan went back to look for it but couldn't find it...It took our super sleuth Ruth a mere couple of minutes to locate it and it was getting dark! :))) xx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. It was chocolate donut day, thanks Alan! Xx Xxx

Please don't shoot the messenger, but we have been asked to pass on the following information when attending our walks. OWNED DOGS. ** If your dog is reactive, please ensure they are kept muzzled at all times whilst on the walk... Please ensure you bring your muzzle with you! The use of flexi leads is strongly NOT recommended, please bring a suitable non extending lead for use on the walk. Please ensure your dog is kept under control at all times and bring plenty off poo bags with you and pick up poo your dog may leave, disposing of it in the relavant bins on site. Thank you

I dropped Nicol and Buster off at the vets this morning for their neutering operations. They both travelled really well. Buster loved meeting everyone at the vets, his tail didn't stop wagging! Lucy and I picked them up later this afternoon and left Bob and Gloria in charge. 🙂 Poor Nicol was a little uncomfortable but you would never have known Buster had just had an operation! He was jumping around with his tail still wagging...all the nurses fell in love with him. :))) Thank you to everyone who took the dogs out for walks today. It was good walking weather 🙂 No coats again! :)) Richard did some more painting! Bless him. 🙂 Really sad Daisy is no longer reserved but it has to be right for everyone. Xxx

Oh sweetheart not again....tears & tears......but on the bright side!!!! Third time lucky???? I am sure it will be when the next hoomans come along. It is still early days and you are such a lovely and cuddly girl and very gentle. There will be more than one right hooman home for you and all the boys and girls (hoomans are easier to train!!) but when sharing the resident pooch has to be right from the off!! Chin up lovely and at least I get to cuddle you again in a few days. Xx

Well, our little flower Daisy is no longer reserved. 🙁 The family brought their long haired Dachshund to meet her this morning and very sadly Daisy didn't like her at all. We were all very sad as she would have had a lovely home. We are very grateful to her prospective family for considering her, they were terribly disappointed....Daisy, don't worry non of us are perfect. 🙂 but sure the perfect home is out there for you. My cuddle goes to you today. Xxx

She was so special. Run free at Rainbow Bridge my beautiful girl, you deserve it. Love always Xxxxxx
