Rose has settled in well a little shy at 1st but she is coming out of her shell slowly. She is so cute . We have fallen in love with her xx this might be a foster fail xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Happy Christmas to all the 2 legged and 4 legged at daybreaks! Hope you 2 legged all have a wonderful break, you certainly deserve it! Jet said he's hoping Santa is going to come as he yet again found Christmas presents that I thought were well hidden and ate his cousins, so now if Santa does come he's got to donate one to cousin Hudson to make up for it! Sure he should have been a police dog with his sniffing power! Xxx

Jetson
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Well Jetson has been fab so far, clean in the house apart from one small incident with the Christmas Tree!! He's walked nicely on the lead, ignoring other dogs and a squirrel. He just wants fuss and love and will stand for hours with his head resting on you. He's slept and settled well on our bedroom floor at night and enjoyed a game a fetch with his tennis ball on the garden today. His tail never stops wagging. My biggest Christmas wish would be to keep him forever but circumstances don't allow that so I hope somebody gives him his forever home as they will be the luckiest people out!

Liza

We have had Liza for a week now and she is certainly part of the family , she loves going for walks but is not sure of other dogs especially smaller ones that come too close and running in the garden with the ball she bought home . She has a new bed now which she loves and is settled at nights. We love her so much and she has brought lots of laughter and love, wishing you all a very happy Christmas

Barney

Barney here. Today has been very exciting. This morning we got into the car and went for a seriously long drive. I mean long. About three hours into the drive I was busting for a pee so I made sure to tell Samantha that I wanted to go and she told my other humans to stop the car. After that it was a nice remaining hour of the drive. I could see a lot of greenery and the sea! Finally after around 4 hours we made it. Still had no idea where we were. I jumped to my feet and squashed Samantha in the process. I then saw Florence and then I started to wag my tail and hit Samantha in the process. All very exciting. I thought to myself this must be the lumpy bit of land that Florence was on about. It’s got a house on it now. Now chilling with Florence I’m the living room. This will be a good Christmas. Happy Christmas love from Barney xx

Bobby (Gent)

All going well with Gent. He mastered the stairs at the second attempt but hasn't so far followed the example of our lot by getting on the sofa or bed. He is very interested in everything and doesn't want to miss out on anything that may be happening, but is also happy to lie down in a different room from us. He's not sure what a ball is all about, even if it does squeak, whereas he's picked up playing with other toys straight away. He is a real sweetie and giving Snip a run for her money as to who can push in the hardest to get the fuss! Xx

I met Ruth at Fivelands with Spritz this morning for her latest dressing change and check up. I am delighted to say the vet was very pleased with her and the wound has fully healed up so no more dressing are needed and her leg looks greyt. Her weight has gone up again and with the festive season here she will be having plenty of treats and turkey to gain the few more pounds needed. She has now been discharged from the vets. Many thanks to her first foster family for all they have done for Spritz and the dedication of Daybreaks and all our wonderful volunteers in reaching this brilliant result. We are in love with her and we will make her Christmas and new year very special xx

A very happy 8th birthday to my little Willow. A little greyer around her face, but still acts like a puppy! P.s fish fingers, mash and peas were had the other day as it was Sarah's gotcha day, so we all got that in between the 2 dates.
