How time flies, can't believe it is 5 years since I officially signed the Moo Cow up She is so cheeky and clued up with everything, she is an absolute star. She will be expecting fish and chips tonight to mark the milestone, but as it is Willow's birthday on Christmas Eve we are going to compromise and split the celebrations between the 2 dates! Sure they will feel short changed, lol.

Oh and we've cracked the toileting thing, so no more accidents in the house. His character is really coming out now and he's very cheeky! An extremely loveable boy. Next step is to leave him for a short time and see how he gets on. He's been my little shadow for a few days but today he quite happily stayed in his bed while I was working upstairs. Lots of progress made, he's a clever boy and a fast learner.

Fun and games with our boy today - he really gave me the runaround, playing and bowing when I tried to put his coat on and when we got back (soaked), did wet zoomies all round the house! He likes hiding his toys on our beds too.

When I read that another greyhound who was so young has left us so suddenly I’m just left with an overwhelming feeling of sadness. It’s just devasting and I can’t begin to think how her owners must be feeling. She should have had many years of happy life ahead of her. Thinking of her family at this awfully sad time. Run free little lady with all our old friends. I hope they greeted you with waggy tails because this was far too early for you to join them xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Thanks as always to our Wednesday walkers. Kuro (was Brandy) is doing great, although he may still have a piece of grit still in his paw, so AliJ was taking him to have it checked out this afternoon. So very, very sad to receive the call to let us know that beautiful Noodle gained her angel wings this morning. So very young at only 2, and taken way too soon, God bless her. Xx The residents had a run in the sand run this afternoon as we we short of volunteers, thanks to Paul for taking them in. Lost for words now, such a sad day. Jo xx

I’ve spoken to Liza’s new mum tonight and she tells me she is settling in really well. She’s been clean in the house up to now, is eating well and goes to bed at night with very little fuss. She says she is lovely to walk too. They have even managed to leave her for a very short time. Altogether a very positive start to her new home life so we are all very pleased indeed x
