I am really sorry that my FNF update followed a sad message about Noodle. I didn't know about her when I posted it and feel that my story may appear a little flippant following such sad news. I feel really bad about it so please forgive me Noodles mom. xx

Took Fat Neck Finn with us to vets when Nina went for her check up so we could check his weight. He is now back to 36 1/2 kgs but would have been 40 kgs at least I think if we had not started his diet a few weeks back. Vet said "he's fine just stocky! which I feel is a much nicer way than saying he is fat! Finn is a bit down hearted as he though normal food services could now be resumed lol. Took him for a walk when we got back and now REALLY depressed because I wouldn't let him bring a dead squirrel back for a snack lol Told him he can have Turkey at Xmas like everyone else lol

  • Noodle (Nancy)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

I received a very sad call this morning giving the very news that Noodle had gained her angel wings and crossed over Rainbow Bridge this morning, she had been taken ill on Sunday. Another precious girl taken way too soon. Thinking of her owners and sending hugs. Shine bright, run free little one. xx

A very soggy day! So much rain the kennels flooded again. :(( Declan and Richard managed to get the drains unblocked but just in case they flood again tonight we moved Jessie to the next door kennel. 🙂 Thanks so much to all of our walkers this morning and this afternoon, it really wasn't a good walking day. x Lucy had two pampers this morning...it was lovely to see cute little Annie again. 🙂 Reggie was her other client, he is a very handsome blue boy belonging to Pete who is working on our kitchen renovation. 🙂 Ruth collected a new supply of calendars this afternoon. Available from the kennels or we can arrange to send them out to you by post. Xx Xxx

Further update from foster parents. Spritz had a dressing change today and what an amazing sight - the wound is gone apart from a pinprick size hole! She has another dressing on primarily to protect the new skin and ensure no knocks or scrapes, but the Vet was delighted. Back on Christmas Eve for blood test results and, fingers crossed, the removal of the final dressing. She was such a good girl at the Vets, even ignoring a feisty little Pug who was lunging and going generally potty!! Her fan club gave her many cuddles, fusses and treats and she was very reluctant to leave! We have everything crossed that the New Year will bring the new home that this special little lady deserves. xx
