Jetson
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Jetson had a run with Kitty yesterday in the sand run. It was very cold but it did not stop Jetson having a good time and running after the balls my son was throwing. Jetson is a lovely dog.

Well Brandy, your last sleep before going home tomorrow! So excited for you! Will really miss you. Xx. Alison, he has a purple knitted blanket in his kennel, please take it with you. Julie, Teddy's Mom knitted several to be put into the kennel with dogs who are reserved so they can take something that smells familiar out to their new homes with them. What a lovely Idea. Xxx

Ruthy is a super little girl. Considering all the upheaval she has experienced recently she was quite happy to stay in the office this morning and greet any visitors who popped in. So very sad for her owner, it is obvious he adored her. She is staying with Ruth, Andy and Rose tonight. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A very chilly day! Warmed up by seeing pretty little Diva reserved. All being well, she will be going to live with Oscar an older Collie cross gentleman. :)) Despite the weather the dogs were able to go out for both morning and afternoon walks. Some enjoyed going out, others not so keen! Can't say I blame them. :)) It was lovely to see Kitty today. She came in for a pamper with Jess. Brandy also had a pamper before he goes home tomorrow! Xx Thank you to everyone who has offered to foster one of our lovely residents for Christmas. Please call the kennels if you think you can help. Xxx Great to see Ruth today :)) Sara has been allowed home from hospital. She is still not good but at least she can see her gorgeous Louis again. Sending lots of love to them both. Xxx Thank you to everyone who brought in donations of duvets, food, treats and toys. Very much appreciated. Xxx

Just wanted to say how happy I am to be giving a hound a home in time for Christmas. As heartbroken as I was to lose Barney, the prospect of another four paws pattering round our home again has really helped me.

Can't agree enough loveheart. Not only does this give staff and volunteers a break, but much more importantly it gives our residents a home, albeit temporary for a week. This would help us ascertain the houndies behaviour in a home and really help with their rehoming process. So, please, to iterate Ruth's appeal, if you could help, please do. We would be most grateful, and so would our residents. X

Poor Ruthy and her owner to be in this situation especially at Christmas. Last Xmas was wonderful for Ruth, the team and hound residents when Daybreaks was able to find a warm temporary hearth for them all so it could close its doors and humans and hounds could have family time. It would be the best present we could give them for all the hard work all year and Ruth and the team deserve it more than ever after a few months of sad happenings. I am desperately trying to figure how we could help as I am sure you all are. Still a week to go so fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle xx
