It’s officially been 1 year since I picked my family. This past year has been great times. I have been from scared to a lot more confident. I’m a very lucky boy with a good life. I hope the residents at daybreaks find their forever home too. The only downside of today is I had to return to the place with humans wearing a blue uniform. There were other little animals. One dog wasn’t happy because he was barking! Of course I did not want to go in at all. I did it. I had my vaccinations and went straight out. The lady was very nice. I am now going to relax and be waited on. I have doggy beer ready and looking forward to my meal. See you all soon Barney xx

Almost 12 months we have had Barney and he has had is boosters again. He was a very good boy and the vet told us he is being well looked after so that’s nice to hear.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
I managed to get to the kennels today 🙂 Thankfully my car is fixed. Skip couldn't quite understand why when he got out yesterday he was still on the drive at home! Xx Bouncy little Sally went off to the vets for her neutering operation this morning. Many thanks to Jo for taking her. She wasn't quite as bouncy when Lucy and I picked her up this evening. Bless her, hopefully she will feel better tomorrow. We had a stressful afternoon as my lad Skip and Lucy's Ellie had a collision in the sand run...Skip ended up with a nasty wound on his neck which required stitches. 🙁 Very fortunately Ellie was ok. When we arrived home tonight Lyra and Fletch sniffed Skip all over; but were very gentle with him. He stood very patiently while they inspected and counted his stitches! My poor little lad. Xxx Thanks so much to Sara for looking after everything at the kennels so we could get Skip to the vets. It was a beautiful Autumn day, the dogs and volunteers all enjoyed their walks. It's that time of year when the squirrel population are collecting food for the winter and driving some of our residents mad! Bless them!! Xxx

Lovely little Sally definitely thinks that she's in charge! She's a happy, friendly, pretty girl. She was a little bit keen on the lead initially but soon settled to walk nicely. I think she could be good fun xxxx

Dew is such a pretty gentle girl, everyone remarks on her beautiful soft coat. After a little cuddle in her kennel she was happy to go for a walk. Lovely little girl xx

Hi Nicky, yes everything is going well between Dexter and his new brother Douggie, they don't have that special bond like Dexter and Jack had but they get along, Dexter seems much better now he has a little friend. Douggie is such a sweet natured boy and I'm sure they both benefit from the others company. Xxxxxx
