2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Well, I am late posting this today! Thanks as always to our lovely Wednesday walkers, and extra volunteers, all dogs (apart from them on no walk post ops) had 2 walks today. Little Roxy was reserved ): Ruth took the Trust van for an MOT 🙁 Roxy went for her check up at the vets and Treaty had his booster, both enjoyed their dinner when they got back. We have 2 new arrivals tomorrow, hope they settle well and don't have to wait too long for their forever. Mr Nick Nick really needs a home, he is currently our longest stayer, he really is lovely and needs a home where there is someone at home most of the time, he is a real people dog and relishes human contact. Please do not be put off by the big black dogs, they have so much love to give, he would make a fantastic addition to the right home. He is a bit of a favourite with quite a few of us (as all of them are) Take care all. Jo xxxxxx

I wonder about TC sometimes. After lunch today I gave Florence a baby potato, she dropped it on the floor so I popped it in her bowl. Advance a couple of hours, I am asleep, Florence asks TC for her tea. TC gets her bowl, spots the potato and decides to .......... take it out and put it on top of the radiator in the hall!?! Xx

He's older,greyer , and a Black boy. but I see those qualities as positives with Marty. He knows the ropes, he has lived in homes he knows what's expected, bit like me really, and all he wants is that forever sofa and home. Please some kind person find room for this boy "To race into your Heart" x

I had the pleasure of meeting Marty on the walk last Saturday. He walked very well - I think it was about 4 miles before we got back to the pub! Good luck Marty. I'm sure it won't be too long before your forever home finds you. Then you can forget all about those races! Far too many. x

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

So sad to see Marty back at the kennels today 🙁 His foster career says he is a very affectionate lad who will make a great friend. Treaty being reserved helped to brighten the day! 🙂 So happy for him. We had a greyhound brought into the kennels late yesterday afternoon who had managed to escape from his home. Fortunately he had been picked up by very kind people who called us to see if we could help find his owner. Sadly he was not wearing a collar so had no identity tag. He was microchipped and we were able to ascertain he had indeed been homed by us several years ago. Sadly the owners contact details were out of date. The good news is we were able to contact them using an email address and he was reunited with his family this morning. Please check with the microchip company your dog is registered with that the details they have for your dog are up to date. You are required by law to have a collar on your dog with an Identity tag which includes your name, address and contact details. We are able to order pet tags at the kennels if you would like us to. 🙂 Xxx
