Unfortunately Marty has been returned to the kennels after being out on Foster for some time. We hoped it may have turned out to be his forever home but due to his foster carers ill health this is not possible. He is a lovely lad and has benefited from living in a home environment. He is very loving and affectionate and hopefully will soon find his special place. Xxx

    I’m Homed

Hmmmm LadyVictoria - when you mention Roxy is wearing one of my 'old' t-shirts - I have to correct you there! It is one of my favourite t-shirts but fitted her perfectly so was happy to let her borrow it!!! 😉 Apologies for not updating on my 'movements at Daybreaks' over the last few days but Friday was another sad day and I accompanied Shirley whilst the lovely Bonnie went to Rainbow Bridge. Bonnie was Foxy's litter mate sister and I am just so glad I got to meet her. She had the most amazing ears just like Foxy.... I am sure they are running free together and a feather on the door of the van I am sure was a message...... Saturday was hectic as was Sunday - although very soggy so yesterday was a day off - thank you to Kate for covering. I am already getting orders for Christmas cards and t-shirts so I am doing regular trips to the post office.... the calendars should hopefully be ordered by the end of the week but I will let you know when they are available. Andy and I popped over to see Nina and 'Fat Neck Finn' and we collected several boxes of our fabulous t-shirts which are now on sale.... I am massively grateful to Mark and Jenny who have made these possible and donated them to help raise funds for our kennels projects. I have added a photo of Jo, Lisa and Angie modelling them so if you would like one - give us a yell! Tickets are going well for our Night of Remembrance on the 15th September - just hope the sky is clear so we can see our stars shine. If you would like to book via justgiving here is the link: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/letthestarsshine or pop into the kennels to let us know. Ruthx

Well my mummy and sister returned yesterday. I still don’t really understand why they went to look at cows for 3 days but anyway at least they are back. I got really excited when I saw them I wouldn’t leave them alone. I also got a little bag of treats which were great. How did they get treats from just being in a beach with cows I guess I should have been there to understand. Barney Xx

So nice to hear about Wolfy a lovely grey that sounds like he is having the time of his life. Reminds me so much of Barney who loves his dad and is a little mischievous. The confidence, love and little sneaky things they do just makes it all worth while. My baby boy is the boss of the house and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Had a super weekend in Cowbeech with Auntie Deborah, Auntie Natasha, Uncle Robert, cousins Samantha and Rosa, and Acer the boxer. She can be a little annoying as she is a teenager and is very very licky! I missed Barney though, it would have been great to have raced him round the fields, Acer couldn't keep up! Uncle Robert and family had just returned from Vennis, don't think Andy Murray was playing though. Mom says we will be visiting Daybreaks soon so Auntie Ruth can remove my cornettoe. Not fair as I love ice cream. Lubs to all Florence xx

Just an update on Wolfy now we have had him a whole year. He is doing really well and is now used to being a spoilt rotten retired greyhound. He is a verrrrry cheeky daddys boy with a very mischievous streak. Considering how timid he was he is a totally different dog now and has the whole family wrapped around his paw. How much we love him is beyond words and could not think of life now without him. He was the best decision we ever made xx

  • 2019 Daybreaks Diary!

    I’m Homed

A busy morning cleaning out the kennels...quite a few messy ones! Yvonne and I both agreed how rewarding It is to see them all nice and clean when you have finished. 🙂 We had several viewings which will hopefully see a couple of our boys reserved, fingers crossed. Teddy seems much better now, but he really needs a forever home, he is quite stressed at the kennels. He loves people and would be a lovely companion and friend. Xx Roxy spent the day in the kitchen with, Louis, Ellie, Lyra and Skip. She is a brilliant little girl. I was told she and Skip got along really well and she even managed to get Skip to play! 🙂 She is currently wearing one of Ruth's old t-shirts to protect her stitches, she looks so cute! X Thanks to Ronnie and Reggies owners who brought in dental chews for the dogs. The boys both looked great! We also had a visit from the the very handsome Billy and Sam. Great to see them all. X Lucy had two customers for a Bank Holiday pamper! Reggie wasn't too keen and wanted to get out of the bath. 🙂 Thanks so much to everyone for all our help today. Xxx Xxx
