My Mummy and Sister have left me to go to Cowbeech. Not sure why they would want to visit cows on a beach, I’m sure I’m way more interesting. Daddy said that they are with family so maybe that’s why. Barney Xx

Caro, we went though a similar experience with Florence and she is not yet 4. I was sure that I could see a mark on her pad if I used a magnifying glass. As a last resort the vet got a microscope on her paw because of what I had said, saw the mark and dug a foreign body out. Florence still limps! But is not in pain until a corn grows...... Xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

An early start for Ruth as she took Roxy off to the Vet for her spey first thing. No volunteers this morning meant the Greys enjoyed sand run playtime again. We had a visit from Kenny and his Mum during the morning. She had come to buy some food and, as we were chatting about ways to build up Kenny's weight and the benefits of the various foods, Kenny settled the discussion by climbing into the food store and, after sniffing everything in there at least twice, selecting a bag that he liked the smell of!!! Just hope he eats it when he gets home! We had plenty of walkers this afternoon - who unfortunately got caught in a torrential downpour and returned to the kennels absolutely drenched with some very unhappy wet doggies!!! Thank goodness it was the last walk and everyone could get dry. Thanks to everyone for braving the elements. This afternoon saw the handsome Will get himself reserved. He was an instant hit with his new family, giving his new Mum the Greyhound "lean" which sealed the deal! Let's hope the weather improves for the Bank Holiday weekend, and that some more of our residents find themselves a forever sofa to snuggle on. Cheers everyone, a glass of red wine is beckoning me (well it is Friday!!). Have a great holiday weekend. Angie xx
