2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Poor Fat neck Finn just as we where going to get stuck in with his "Fat to Finn" diet program the vet gave him an anti-inflammatory for his cat induced injury and a side effect of this medication is increased appetite in some cases. Unfortunately he is one of them. I saw him looking longingly at a pigeon and told him "if you catch it you eat it" he looked at me as if to say "I was trying to do that with the cat and look where it got me!!!" lol He finishes the med today so hopefully will be back to his usual normal gluttony. Could I book 2 jacket potatoes for him at the remembrance night Ruth. Let's all light up the sky with our candles on 15th September because I am sure our Angels will be looking down watching with Foxy in charge xx

Absolutely love this boy! He's a joy to walk, no pulling, happy to go at whatever pace you go, happy to have cuddles in his kennel too! Definitely one of the politest residents when leading up for a walk which is a bonus, just stands there patiently 🙂 He looks after his kennel mate Roxy so well too xxxxx

Ruth,I was so very sorry to read of your loss and having lost 2 Greys myself in the last 6 months I know just how you feel.Try and take comfort in the knowledge of all the lovely times you had together. Jay and Petal have settled very well now,both are still very strong on the lead if we see a cat,am hoping I can manage them on my own once Barry starts his bowls in the mornings and cant come with me !!! Am glad to see that dear Diddie is still being fostered do hope that works out for him ,he so deserves a nice home.As do all your other lovely Greys,its such a shame there are so many waiting ,don't think things will ever change until they stop breeding so many in Ireland Wish we lived closer then I would be at the kennels many times a week but the journey from Rugby is a bit much!!

Kitty
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Now 6 months that Kitty has been with us! She brings us so much happiness. Kitty loves her walks any time of the day and with any weather. But yesterday was a very special day for Kitty. We visited her first Mum and Moe at their house. It took a little while for Kitty to remember but then you could see how happy she was to see everybody. She looked very comfortable sleeping on the rug as her two mums were having a chat. Kitty and Moe really enjoyed playing together with the kids outside. We were so happy to meet Kitty's first family. Kitty and Moe are so lovely together. And Moe is just a beautiful and wonderful boy who loves his cuddles. We will meet again soon.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

I had fun today helping Pete strip more out from the kitchen... boy - it was not good for my asthma 🙁 It was fab seeing Mr Jimmy Brindle today however he didn't seem too impressed.... I am sure the looks he was giving was 'I have my new life now and who are you?!' I health checked cheeky girl Eillie, Will, Brandy and Mr Naughty Pants Nick spent some time in the office - he is such a fabulous boy! Just logging on I have noticed that Sara has added loads of photos of Foxy to this page..... such happy memories of such a legend of a little fella - boy do I miss him however feel so blessed I was able to have him for a quarter of my life!!!! If you look at the events section, I have arranged a remembrance night at the kennels - a special evening to remember all our lost but loved ones.... I hope you can come x

A big cuddle for Roary tonight. He is a very happy, lively lad. He was quite stressed when he arrived at the kennels but is settling down quite well now. He has been on the waiting list to come into the Trust for a long time....he deserves a special forever home. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Both Teddy and Treaty seemed to have recovered from their recent neutering ops. They were much happier today. :)) Sweet little Jet went home today. Wishing her a very happy new life with her new family. 🙂 Apologies to Barney's Mom and Sister for the long wait while Jet's paperwork was completed. It was lovely to see you both. I am sure Barney will like the new pet tag you ordered for him. 🙂 We had a visit from Lola and Jimmy this morning. They came to use the run, both of them looked very well and happy! Xx Horsey's Mom popped in to see us to let us know how her lad is getting on. He is doing great and all the family adore him! So very happy for him. Xx We were a little short of helpers this afternoon, thanks to Sara for taking most of the dogs into the sand run and to James for his help with feeding. The run is looking good, it's so very long! 🙂 The new enclosure for the chickens is great, gives them lots more room. Xxx

Jean, now Angel, had a lovely birthday with people popping in to see her. She sat on the settee cuddling everyone who sat by her. I wish I had known that her sister was Jet, it would have been nice to have seen her.

Thank you all at the kennels yesterday for making me and Ria so welcome. Ria is walking so much better today now those two huge corns removed and her nails trimmed. It only cost me two jumbo sausages and some roast chicken from the chippy to cheer her up again!. I will fit Greyhound stickers will go onto my van as soon as it stops raining.
