2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A much cooler day today. The dogs enjoyed morning and afternoon walks. 🙂 Poor Treaty wasn't a happy boy. He was neutered yesterday and was obviously not feeling brilliant, spent a lot of the day crying. 🙁 Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow. He is a really lovely lad, very affectionate. He really wanted lots of cuddles today. Xx Ruth, Andy, Steve and Sarah managed to reconstruct the chicken coop and they are happily back where they belong. 🙂 Thanks to everyone for their help...sadly no homes found for any of our beautiful hounds today :(( Maybe tomorrow! Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Up date on Fat neck Fin's assault by a cat. Now on antibiotic and anti-inflammatory he seems mostly back to his old "eat your own body weight" in one meal, self. He had only just started a very flexible "diet" when this happened and now he is off down the garden again after his breakfast eating all the birds brown bread ! and drooling watching Nina finish hers. He does however have a bad case of post traumatic stress and cannot go in the conservatory where the dastardly deed took place without having flashbacks of having a cat hanging his your face!!! Good job hubby is a therapist lol

The sand run is looking great! Got loads of more space and a tractor to smooth the sand over! It will be excellent for the greys and other breeds to run and play. Good news for the hens as they have their own space now as well... xxxx

Ruth, I am so sorry to hear about Foxy. I always remember saying to you that Keano and I were so much part of each other that I didn’t know where I ended and Keano began. You said that was exactly like you and Foxy. Both of them had so many issues but we loved them so much. Foxy could not have had a better mum and you gave him a wonderful life. Run free Foxy, God has got another beautiful, mischievous angel. I am thinking of you Ruth and sending our love, from Carol and Moe xxxx

Barney

I can’t understand how Barney just jumps in the car for everyone else and turns around and makes me pick him up. Also when everyone else is eating dinner he leaves them alone and pinches mine if I look away for a second. When I trained him it was for my benefit not everyone else’s. At least he comes to me for a cuddle.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

As Shanesmum said, it was one of those days where you can’t seem to accomplish much as the phone was so busy too so after the gates had locked from the outside I set to work! Four hours later the skip had been filled, so had the shed and the storage roller shutter and I can now get into my treatment room in preparation for today as we have poor poppy coming to have her pads trimmed as well as a few corns to dig out! Huge thanks to Angie for keeping me away from the brink of crying all day.... several times I’m sure I heard or caught a sight of a fawn dog out the corner of my eye..... 🙁 xx As the sand run extension is now finished I’ve just go to get the tractor out and rake it and we are ready for action ! If you’d like to book it - give us a call!

TC has just returned from Florence's evening walk. Totally out of breath. Aparently Florence was in full charge mode, ahead of him by the whole length of her lead. 1 mile completed in 23 minutes including leaving and re-entering the house, 3 pees and a poop (Florence not TC) says he didn't manage that even when he walked to work and wants to know what I have fed her today! Xx

The doorbell rings, Florence is first to the door on the basis it must be for her and fuss will be forthcoming. TC opens the door, from my position in the lounge I hear "mumble mumble mumble mumble mumble ... no she refused, .... Daybreaks, costs just over a hundred pounds and you get a full support package.... Say goodbye Florence". Turns out it was a double glazing salesman but Florence struck again! Like the way TC called It a 'full support package'. Xxx
