Nick made a new friend today. A young lad in a wheelchair came to meet the Greyhounds and groom some of them. He loved Nick and Nick loved him too! All went very well until Nick had a wee on the lads foot! Fottunately he found it quite amusing. :)) I know the perfect home is out there just waiting for him. Xxx

It was an absolute pleasure to go with Ruth today to visit my pretty Petal in her lovely new home. She looks amazing and is loving having a big brother to play with. We had some great kisses and cuddles from both her and Jay, and then she showed us her toys and how she can run in the garden. I'd say "be happy" but I think she already is! All the best for the future. X

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Thanks for all the comments everyone - knowing we have your support really keeps us going! Sorry for such a negative comment on our diary the other day but I am dealing with a very poorly Foxy and this morning he collapsed again. I am praying the new meds he was started on on Monday may help - please keep everything crossed for my little fella. Today was another busy and emotional day - First thing the chap came to continue work on the sand run so as we have the fencing down in one section, we have had to cancel all bookings for the next few days. Bounty was dropped off this morning by her new Dad so I could take her to the vets for the second part of her dental along with Teddy who went in for neutering. I then headed off to Rugby with Angie to keep me company to see how Petal was settling in with Jay and smiles on our faces - her new mum and dad signed the paperwork. It is so lovely to see such happy dogs and people! We then headed to another part of Rugby to collect Diddy. Sadly he is getting increasingly stressed around the visiting grandchildren and as they are a big part of the family, sadly the decision was to return him. It was heartbreaking leaving him in his kennel this evening as he was so stressed. The M6 was awful so it took ages to get back and then I was off to the vets to collect Teddy and Bounty. Poor Bounty is now more gums than teeth bless her but greyhounds are sadly prone to dental problems. Her dad couldn't wait to collect her this afternoon 🙂 Kate, meanwhile at the kennels, ensured the smooth running of everything and sadly saw Brandy returned. Sadly he is not getting on with the other greys in the family. Tomorrow is paperwork and escape day for me and I am leaving the kennels in the capable hands of Jo..... good luck Jo..... I'm always at the end of the phone if you need me! x
