Thank you so much for all your lovely comments, I spoke with the vet this morning and he says Jack is progressing every day, he is now trying to put his right foot on the floor on his own which is brilliant in just a week, I know he's got a long way to go but I'm so happy I could burst lol xxxxxxxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Mandy had a visit from her new Mom and Dad this morning. She went for a short walk with them and had lots of cuddles. They can't wait to take her home. 🙂 x Poor Eillie has a sore bottom. The vet thinks she may have burnt it lying on the hot concrete in one of the runs. Sadly she hasn't got any hair on her bottom at the moment so she has very little protection from the heat. She is having Sudocrem applied to the area. Anyone who has met Eillie knows she is a very happy and bouncy girl and her sore bottom hasn't affected her at all! She would really be so much fun to have around and she is very pretty too! Xxx Thank you to everyone for the donations of bedding and towels. So kind of you. It started off lovely and cool this morning, the dogs enjoyed a lovely walk along the lane. :)) Thanks to everyone for your help today. Fans of Saddle and Roy will be happy to know they are doing great! :)))) Xxx

Lovely to hear bounty is doing well and been a good girl! Sounds like she's settling well really as everything is so strange for them in a home at first. Reminded me of jet when you said about the t.v.. ..thought the Hoover might frighten him but no wasn't bothered at all but that scary box that has people in that would talk but weren't in the room completely baffled him for a while, but now enjoys chilling and watching it with us! Xxx

Just thought some of you might like a Jack update. We went to see him last night, and he looked so much brighter than Sunday. His diarrhoea is finally under control and he started to eat yesterday too. We took him some roast beef (my husband had to have cheese on his sandwiches instead) and he absolutely loved it, then he ate some tuna and rice, we are now hoping that he starts to pick up and gain some strength, helping him with his physio. The nurses carried him outside in his harness today and he did a big wee on his own which is fantastic progress. His left side is quite strong but it's the right side especially the front which is still weak, but he is doing great and getting a little stronger every day, the nurses are all in love with him but they say he is a bit lazy!!!!!, (whoever heard of a lazy greyhound). He was so contented after seeing us and eating his roast beef, he promptly fell asleep lol. It's slow progress but he's doing great, we have told him to get his act together and get well because we miss him and need him at home xxxxxx

It was great to see you today sully and I guess from all the excitement and kisses plus a very waggy tail the feeling was mutual. I am very puzzled why nobody has snapped you up by now. You are just waiting to be the perfect loving companion for a lucky family, let's hope they come through Daybreaks door very soon xx

Met this lovely boy today. Apparently he loves people so maybe if you are at home quite a lot he may be the boy for you. He did seem to enjoy a fuss and seems good natured. Nick gets my vitual cuddle today x
