Thanks so much to Norman for taking Sid out for a trip to the park today. They both had a great time. 🙂 Sid was quite nervous when he first arrived at Daybreaks last week, but he is really starting to settle now and is showing us what an absolutely smashing lad he is! Xxx

Sid has only been with us at Daybreaks for 1 week and tomorrow will celebrate his 3rd birthday. I today took him for his first visit to Elmdon Park . He's a very gentle lad who reacted very well to the many small breeds he met. At one time there were 5 of them sniffing around him. He reminded me in many ways of my own families roadshow veteran Sid who lived with us for 10 years and this current Sid has the many gentle characterteristics that made our Sid such a fabulous lad. He's certainly going to be a wonderful companion to whoever offers him his future home

Daybreaks Diary!

It is officially the First day of Spring today! :)) Xxx It did feel quite warm and the sun came out. 🙂 The dogs enjoyed their walks, so did their walkers! This afternoon our residents all had time out of their kennels to play games and have a Licky mat covered in peanut butter. They throughly enjoyed them. Xxx. It was a quiet day for visitors but we had our lovely students and volunteers to keep everyone company. Xxx Many thanks to Ella and Rio's Mom and Dad for sending us a delivery of goodies for both Greyhounds and Humans! We had donuts today and the dogs have all got hot dog sausages to look forward to tomorrow....! :)) Xxx Xxx

Larky is a very pretty, sweet little girl. :)). She is still just a puppy! It would be wonderful if she could find her forever home in time for her second Birthday next month. Sending her my cuddle tonight. Xxx

I know I always start by thanking everyone for their help, but it is so important to recognise the time and effort everyone puts into the Kennels and the inmates. It was very quiet for visitors today, all of the inmates had morning and afternoon walks, the two new girls that have broken hocks had shorter walks. Liz_Beth came in today with her niece Maisie, lovely Maisie asked if she could move into the Kennels!!! She was able to go out on walks albeit not walking a dog. Rob T and Sarah came in with Penny, she is doing really well and looks great, such a lovely girl. We left tonight with the heaters on in the Kennel blocks, coats on and all dogs tucked up in their beds.

Daybreaks Diary!

We actually had some sunshine today! :)) It didn't stay very long but it was great while it lasted. :)) Xxx Thanks so much to everyone who came in to walk our residents. They all enjoyed getting a break from their kennels. Our two new girls Selina and Larky are recovering from broken hocks. They are having shorter walks for a while. They are both very cute! Xxx Many thanks to our visitors who brought in donations of bedding, so kind of you. Jaz met two young girls, she was so good with them. Xxx Jaz has gone home today! Wishing her a very happy new life. I will miss her pretty little face and happy waggy tail. Xxx Thanks so much to Jess for all her help today. Her gorgeous lad Koda came in with her; he entertained visitors by manically chasing a ball around the kitchen run.... :)) We have lots of beautiful Greyhounds at Daybreaks, all looking for their forever homes. Our gorgeous little Jaz went off to her new home today. :)) She has a new Greyhound sister and two new Greyhound brothers! In the homing photo she is wearing the green raincoat! :)) Wishing her and her lovely family lots of happy times together. Xxx

As Jo said, I took Sparky to the park yesterday. He was as a star. Walked very well and no reaction to other breeds. He wants fuss from everyone and has the softest fur. He's a very handsome chap x
