Robbie had his vaccination booster today. He was such a good boy at the vets. :)) Robbie is a really lovely lad, very happy. Do hope he won't have to wait too much longer for his special home to come along. Xxx

A cuddle for lovley Laura tonight. She had her Neutering op today. The nurses at the vets said she was such a good girl during her time with them. Xxx She has someone coming to meet her tomorrow! Keep your fingers crossed for her. 🙂 Xxx

A busy morning....Laura went to be Neitered and Robbie had his vaccination booster. I also took my little Lyra to see Christian as she has a nasty spot come up on her bottom! They were all so good going to the vets together and impeccably well behaved once they went into the vets. Xxx Thanks so much to Richard for popping in to give me a hand to take everyone to the vets! Xxx Thanks to our students and volunteers for all their help today. Yvonne and Jack gave the paintwork around the kennels a good clean. This afternoon Yvonne and Lynda sorted all the recently donated bedding. Skip and Lyra supervised them from beneath their cosy blankets! :))) Despite the chill and a little rain the dogs enjoyed going out for their afternoon walks and looked forward to having their dinners. :)) Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

It was a chilly day today but we had lots of enthusiastic volunteers :)) So everyone had morning and afternoon walks. Xxx Phantom came in for a pamper. It was lovely to see him again. He went home in a beautiful new Red Winter coat and looked so very handsome.:)) Baby's new family arrived to take her home at lunchtime. She came into the office and snuggled into one of the beds while her paperwork was completed. She has a new name, Phoebe which really suits her. :)). Do hope all goes well. Xxx Thanks so much to Jess for coming in to help and to all our volunteers! Your help is very much appreciated. :)) Please come along to our Christmas Party tomorrow...there will be things to buy and of course Santa will be coming to meet your fourlegged boys and girls and make sure they have all been good this year! :)) If you can spare the odd tin of Sardines or pilchards we would be very grateful. Xxx I would to say a big Thank you to everyone who helped cover my days last week as I was not feeling too good and needed some time off. Bless you.....XXXXXX

Happy 5th Gotcha Day Nifty. I can't believe it's been 5 whole years since we bought Nifty home. Nifty was so well behaved that he led us into a false sense of security. Bit of a shock when we took Cilla & Flo home! We can't thank Kate & Ruth enough for entrusting Nifty into our care.

It was a very cold day yesterday but it was lovely to meet Ellen's new owners who came up to visit her and she had fun in the sand run. Baby had been stressing a lot in her kennel so she spent the day in the office with me and I took her home last night. She is quite cranky with other dogs but as she was muzzled she was just fine. She slept in a crate overnight and was totally dry as at the kennels she generally wets the bed most nights. She is a poppet!

Daybreaks Diary!

Many thanks to everyone for their help today, I won't name everyone just in case I miss someone out!! However, thanks to Norman for taking Laura to the park and giving her a glowing report. Ellen had a visit from her prospective family along with their little daughter Emma. Emma was a little unsure to begin with, she then asked if she could take Ellen home!! The family are going to visit her several times more, Ellen was such a good girl and very gentle. I must say a massive thanks to Richard and Shirley who stayed for afternoon feeding and cleaning down. Please don't forget that Santa is taking time out of his very busy schedule to pay Daybreaks a visit on Sunday between 11.00an and 2.30pm. There will be several stalls and a fab photographer, he will be taking photos of your hounds with Santa so please bring your pennies and pounds, this is all in aid of the hounds. Xx

What a fun and loving girl this is. I met her on Saturday when she came in. She was fond of anyone that met her. She loved going out and was a joy to walk. Pleasure to meet and be around, LOVES her food haha xx
