?Many thanks to everyone for their help today, the Wednesday walkers this morning and our two lovely afternoon volunteers. There were health checks and weighings to be done, thanks to Denise for doing those, although Rocky made it very difficult to weigh him as he wouldn't stand still. Wishing Denise a very happy birthday for tomorrow and the same to Wednesday walker Deb for Saturday. Xx Just a tip....if you are in the sand run with Ruth's Tony, don't bend over to pick up poo, he will run into you as he did with Ruth today and knocked her over flat on her back!!!!

Appearances can be deceptive and although Rocky at 40kgms plus has the look of a fearless heavyweight boxer he can still be quite unsure of himself in new situations. He apparently found the stress of the race track too much for him which could explain why in Elmdon Park today he appeared uncertain how to react when meeting other breeds. I'm sure in time he will be fine and with the right adopters who can understand his personality he will settle into home life perfectly

We had two beautiful girls arrive today, Evie and Dolly. Thanks so much to Myra and Lynda for bathing them. :)) They both enjoyed going for a walk this afternoon, followed by their dinner. 🙂 Xxx Molly found herself reserved this afternoon. :))) So happy for her. Such a lovely happy girl. Xxx To add to our busy day we had a power cut! Its amazing how much we rely on computers and printers these days! :)) Fortunately everything came back on and I was able to print off paperwork for our two new arrivals. 🙂 xx Thanks so much to to everyone who dropped off donations of bedding for us. So kind of you. Xxx Thanks to our fab volunteers who gave up their Bank Holiday to come and look after our residents. Lovely to have Vonnie back after her holiday. :)) We missed you! :)) Xxx

Molly’s been back at the kennels for just over 2 weeks since she stayed with us for 2 weeks and has stayed more confident. I’ve seen her a few times since she’s been back and she is always so pleased to see me - jumping on and off her bed and lots of play bows! She’s such a lovely girl, I do hope she gets her forever home soon xx

It was very quiet for visitors today, thanks to everyone who came in and helped. All the inmates had their teeth cleaned, some were less enthusiastic than others, they then all had a lovely groom, that part they all enjoyed. Not to give too much away, but watch this space for some potentially exciting news for one of our residents. I am saying no more than that!!!!!

Wow! Rocky is absolutely stunning, tall, very handsome and weighs 41Kg! He is a very friendly lad and enjoyed playing fetch with Ruth this morning. He was very happy to bring the toys back to her. :)) Patrick took him out for a walk this morning, he said he walked beautifully on the lead and stayed right next to him. Rocky's trainer retired him because he got quite stressed when he went to the track, all he needs now is to find a lovely forever home. :)) Xxx
