Over the Rainbow Bridge
Alex came in for a bath this afternoon. He looks absolutely wonderful and as usual he had a very waggy tail. :)) Xxx Even having a bath didn't dampen his spirits! His beautiful sister Flo came along to have her nails clipped....she wasn't very impressed! :)) Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

It was just Mary and myself first thing this morning. Our wonderful Yvonne has broken her wrist!! Sending her lots of love and best wishes for a speedy recovery from us all. Xxxxx Thankfully Diane arrived early for walks and helped with the cleaning of kennels. Then Jean arrived and cleaned the runs for us and Anne did the washing up! So it was a real team effort! :)) The day continued to be very busy, a bathing, nail clippings health checks and three new arrivals! Sully arrived first a very handsome lad followed shortly afterwards by pretty girls Sky and Peril. Xxx Thanks so much to Shirley and Mary for bathing them and to the lads Richard, Declan and James for taking the boys and girls for afternoon walks. Xxx So very grateful to everyone for your help. Xxx Xxx

Gorgeous Sully arrived this afternoon. :)) He is a very friendly lad. When I checked the cameras tonight he was very comfy on his bed with all his legs in the air! :)) Xxx

Well I am very proud of myself tonight! My husband is doing the 'tough mudder' run on Sunday and I thought I'd add to his pressure by telling him he's now doing it for Daybreaks in jet's memory (isn't he glad he married me?!) I'm totally useless with computers but have managed to do a just giving page tonight so very pleased with myself! Not sure how much we'll get but hang on Daybreaks we're trying! Xxx

Rigsby is 13 today! I’ve been looking at his photos from his time in the kennels and he looks so different now with his grey face…but still very handsome and distinguished! He is growing more and more loving with age and we love him hugely xxx

Duque is a happy boy. He loves playing with a tennis ball. He finds life outside the kennel very interesting and can be strong on the lead. Loads of personality. Absolutely enjoys his interaction with people. Lovely boy xx

I am over the moon that Quivers today finally found her forever home. She was dropped off at our house by Rob who has been fostering her for many months. She got on well with her new greyhound sister and also met the baby and I think we reacted more when baby started crying! I am so grateful to Rob who owns Rory for looking after her and Andy who owns Fred and Deb who owns Peg who also opened their homes for her and fostered her. She originally arrived at Daybreaks November 2021 so has been waiting a long time for her forever home. X

Mia went out on trial but she was very reactive to other breeds of dog. Sadly she was too strong for her new owners so she is back at the kennels.
