A warm day again today. It was a quiet day for visitors. All dogs had morning and afternoon walks, thanks to everyone for their help today. The inmates all had teeth cleaning (those who would put up with it)! and grooming done, and health checks were done. It was lovely to see River reunited his owner after her recent hospital stay, they were both over the moon to be reunited. Thanks to the foster families who took care of him until he could go home. I said my goodbyes to Bocko who is due to go home tomorrow and little Angie who is due to go on Tuesday. Once again as always a massive thanks to everyone for their help today. Xx

Fantastic to see River go back home with his mom. He instantly recognised her and was so excited as was she. A huge thanks to Carol for fostering for the past couple of weeks and also to Ann who had him on foster before that.

It was a busy day which saw handsome Prince go off to his new home this morning. He has a fabulous new family. :)) Bocko will also be going off to his new home early next week. :)) This afternoon Angie found her self reserved. Such a happy, pretty girl. xxx It was a lovely day and all the residents got morning and afternoon walks. :)) Many thanks to all our volunteers for their hard work and for making our boys and girls feel very much loved with grooming, teeth cleaning and lots of extra fuss and attention. :)) They really do appreciate it. Mikey had another trip to the park with Kitty's family. He had a great time. :)) Xxx A big thank you to Pets at Home in Stratford, Morrisons in Solihull and Sheldon for their great donations of food and treats for the dogs. So very kind of you. Xxx Xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Our happy little Zavi has been with us for quite a while now and is ready to grab his new life on the other side of the track with all four paws :)) Yes, he is a little "potty" and will need lots of time and patience to help him understand what living in a home environment is all about. In return you will get a happy, exuberant young man with lots of love to give and who will probably change your life forever! :))) Xxx

Great news that Rivs mom is out of hospital and he is going home to her Sunday. We have had lots of laughs and fun with him and he's been such a good boy. In only 2 weeks totally besotted with him he will be missed so much but it is great news he can return to his mom. Special thanks to My friends Bern and Darc for looking after him on my work days and couldn't have done it without them. I know they have come to love him too. He's a very special dog and deserves his happy ever after so much. Love you Rivs. xxxxx

It started to get very warm again today. We had some lovely ladies who came on a company volunteer day. We were a little late finishing feeding and cleaning this morning so instead of the usual morning walks the dogs all had extra cuddles as well as their daily teeth cleaning and grooming. It was made up to them this afternoon as they had extra long walks down the shady lane. Thanks to everyone for their help today. The decision was taken to temporarily close the sand run whilst essential maintenance is undertaken, we are very sorry for any inconvenience caused, our priority is to the dogs using it. Hopefully it will be up and running soon.

Sam - (Startofanera - 09 Jan 2013 - 15 Aug 2022) Jackie, Cliff and Billy, had to say goodbye to their wonderful Sam earlier this week. He was taken ill suddenly and passed away within a few hours leaving his family totally heartbroken. Xxx Sam was a true gentleman with a gentle nature. Fostered by Jackie and Cliff "just" for Christmas in 2017....they fell for this beautiful, handsome black lad who was the perfect brother for their gorgeous Greyhound Billy and offered him his forever home. Xxx He has had the most fantastic, happy life with them surrounded by love. Xxx God Bless your Sam. Taken far too soon. Thinking of you all and sending lots of love, we all know how it feels...special hugs to Billy who I know is missing his brother terribly. Kate, Skip, Lyra and Cracker. Xxx

Bocko

Bocko is quite a stressful, sensitive lad. After discussions with his new owner we thought it would be beneficial to him to go to his new home for a few hours each day this week to help him to get used to his new surroundings. He is doing really well and getting more relaxed with each visit. He was wagging his tail when he saw his new Dad today. Xxx

Angie had her Neutering operation today. She was a little sleepy when she arrived back at the kennels this afternoon. She did eat some dinner later on. Hoping it won't be long before her forever home comes along. Xxx
