Daybreaks Diary!

At last it was cooler today!:)) We were able to take the dogs out for their walks and they throughly enjoyed them. :)) They were so happy to be able to come out and spend time in the runs instead of having to hide away from the hot sun. :)) We were happy too! :))) Thanks so very much to everyone for your help today. Xxx

Lots of love to our Dearest Lyra, Happy 8th Birthday! Xxx xxxx She was most impressed to receive a hand made card from Shirley, Richard, Murphy, Drew and Frieda containing bone treats, which she did share with Skip and Cracker :)) However, I am not in her good books tonight....I forgot to buy our customary Birthday celebration Egg Custards when I went shopping yesterday! I have promised to get some later in the week. :))) Sorry poppet! Xxxxxxx

It was a pleasure to interact with Prince today. He stood quietly whilst I cleaned his teeth and was very happy to be groomed and have cuddles. When I glanced in before I went home he was happily splashing about in the paddling pool. Sensible boy. I do hope is forever home isnt far away.xxxxx

Archie (Zavi)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I took Zavi out today. He is very excited when being leaded up for his walk and needs firm control but he is such a character. Walking on a short lead he is very good, he saw a squirrel on the path ahead so up went his ears, a few firm 'leave it' and 'good boy' and he just carried on. Lovely lad xx

Poor Josh. It's sad to see he is still struggling with some sort of currently unknown issue & I v much hope you can soon get to know what's what. And then I hope even more treatment/ & behaviour therapy will be able to help so that he can have a long and happy life. When I read your post Erik about his eyes been dilated all the time it made me wonder if he's had a brain injury that's caused long term damage

Daybreaks Diary!

Very short of volunteers today, no walks again just paddling pools and wet towels, some were more enthusiastic than others! The heat is not doing the dogs any good, poor Angie opened up this morning and was greeted by some very messy kennels, bless them they really can't help it, the heat really does make them uncomfortable. Well the blinds were closed after cleaning which kept the kennels cooler and the fans were put on before we left. Thankfully only another couple of days of this before it gets cooler, not only will the dogs be grateful but so will we!!
