Richard and I had the pleasure of completing the adoption paperwork for Timmy today. It was fantastic to see how happy he is in his new home with his gorgeous Greyhound sister Tilly. They get on so well together. Xxx Timmy has grown in confidence over the last few weeks and is completely relaxed. We are so grateful to their new Mum for giving them both a wonderful home. She says they have brought so much joy back into her life and she adores them. Xxx I did take a lovley homing photo of them all but sadly my lack of IT knowledge has meant it is on it's side! Oops!! :)) Xxx

Beautiful Dodger went to Rainbow Bridge earliler this year. His family say he was a very happy and wonderful boy, who will by so sadly missed and loved always. God Bless Dodger. Xxx

I had a lovely call from Carol who is fostering River. He had his dinner when he got home yesterday and a little later had a lovely walk. He slept downstairs initially, Carol woke up around 3am and couldn't hear him and went to check he was OK. He was, got up had a drink and Carol went back to bed. A short while after she heard him coming up the stairs and he jumped on her bed and settled until it was time to get up. Another walk this morning, I think he is one happy contented hound. I think Carol is happy too. Thanks so very much for her fostering River. Xx

Daybreaks Diary!

It's getting warm again! The dogs had morning walks down the lane as it was shaded and cooler. This afternoon it was paddling pools and toy fun. The gorgeous Dougie came in for his 4 week health check, he looks great and remembered everyone and gave us his best smile! We also had Star come for her 4 week health check, she too looked great. Django had a visit from his family, all being well he is going home on Wednesday. A lovely lady came in for a viewing, she was very taken with Bocko and Prince, Angie and Mikey. She has gone away to make a very difficult decision. There were visitors for nail cutting. For those of you who have been following Rivers story, he had been out on foster as his owner was in hospital. Sadly, he attacked the resident greyhound, it's not really known why so he came back to the Kennels this morning. The good news is our lovely Sunday volunteer Carol offered to foster him until his owner is out of hospital and well enough to have him back home. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their help today.

A very busy day which ended with Con going off to his forever home, pretty little Sarah and handsome Django reserved. :)) Xxx If you think you can offer one of our beautiful Greyhounds their forever home please give us a call! We have more viewings over the next couple of days, so fingers crossed. Our waiting list for dogs waiting to come into the kennels continues to grow daily.... We are very grateful to Morrison's in Solihull for their fabulous donation of tinned food and to Sue for collecting it for us. 🙂 Xxx. Thank you to the lovely couple who brought in towels and for your generous donation, so kind. The dogs loved meeting you! Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. Caroline thanks so much for your help with dinners this afternoon. :)) Xxx
