Well I met and walked gorgeous girl Swift. Beautiful dog lovely eyes and a nice nature. She walked really well on the lead. Got a bit excited when she saw a squirrel running along the fence!!! . But with a few 'leave its'and 'walk ons', soon settled back into the walk. I rather think she is going to make a super pet. Cuddles and kisses for her. Xxxx

A quick update on Jess. She had a good night’s sleep and woke up at 7.15 to go in the garden. Jess demolished her breakfast, she certainly has got a good appetite. She has not yet figured out how to get the food out of Moe’s wobbler although she definitely knows there is food in there. If we happen to stumble on it and food falls out, she is straight there, bless her. More news later

Jess is such a dear little girl who loves to know what is going on and is interested in everything. When we got home this afternoon, Moe showed her round the garden and explained that the sofa is his but everywhere else is fine ???? Jess has been lying on moe’s kitchen bed watching me bake. She is very loving and whoever gives Jess her forever home will be very lucky to have her. I will keep you posted

I feel there must be a special someone out there for Mikey. I would have him in a heartbeat, but Steve despite living happily with Fat neck Finn, growls at other male dogs and definitely doesn't want to "share" me yet lol If you are a special person reading this please go and see Mikey. I saw him when we went to the kennels and he is lovely and doing his best to find a forever home. It's all in the eyes. He gets my cuddle tonight bless him xxx

Our hearts are broken today. Sadly our wonderful, handsome, amazing boy gained his angel wings today. It all happened so so quickly, but we know he is now pain free and reunited with his brothers and sisters. He truly was the best and definitely his mums boy. My tears are still flowing. I will never forget you and the joy you brought to our lives, a true ambassador for greyhounds. Sleep well my boy. Xxxxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Thanks to everyone for their help today, it seemed to get colder as the day went on! Gloria and Carol set to work on the summer house in readiness for Santa's visit on Sunday 5th December. I am sure they were exaggerating when the said they chased two tarantulas back down a hole and out in the sand run!! Joe found himself reserved, he is such a lovely boy. Delli (Lily) who had been out on foster since her return was officially signed up today, welcome to her Mom, Dad and fur sister Luna for becoming the newest members of the 'failed foster family'. She has a new name...Artemis. Little Jess has gone out on foster today, she seems much brighter and not as lopsided as she was the other day. Thanks too for the donations of bedding. The inmates are all tucked up nice and warm, the forecast predicts that colder weather is set to come in the next few days. On that note, I am heading home to warm up. As always stay safe and well.
