Daybreaks Diary!

The weather today was a big improvement on yesterday's snow and ice! First thing this morning I took Sam off to the vets for his neutering op. I think he knew as he wasn't keen on going into the vets! He was great in the car, just sat down and enjoyed the ride. I picked him up later on this afternoon. He was bright and bouncy and enjoyed his dinner. :)) Everyone enjoyed both morning and afternoon walks. Xxx Many thanks to Norman for taking young Will to the park. Tiggy came in today, but wasn't that bothered about meeting her brother! 🙂 Xxx Ruth was busy sorting things out for our Christmas Party on Sunday, Santa's grotto will soon be ready for him! Xxx Xxx

Will today went off for a visit to Elmdon Park. On arrival he was very excited at this new experience and was extremely strong on the lead. Fortunately as time went by he adjusted to everything going on around him and became much calmer on the lead. He met at close quarters very small other breeds without any aggression only curiosity. He's quite a quirky lad and may be best suited to a family with experience of greys who I am sure will find him a great addition to their home.

Boss is absolutely adorable. A gentle sweet lad. He met Enzo the puppy in the sand run this morning. They played great together. I had the pleasure of taking him out for a stroll, he walks beautifully on the lead. Xxx

Thanks shanishoo, I have his paw print on a necklace that I don't take off, sleep with his collar and ashes next to me on bedside table. I talk to him all the time and have constantly got a Robin following me and I'm convinced its him. So sorry about your jack too. Like I said, I guess I am lucky I had jet till 10, but still feel cheated. These animals aren't just animals, they're children and think only us animal lovers understand! Kate...Mia said if ever you want to open a creche at the kennels, her name is first on the list to come...if not she'll have to wait till she's old enough to volunteer! Xxx

Jess has been on foster with Rosie and back with us and I now feel she has recovered enough to be left back at the kennels. She is such a sweet loving girl and had fun in the run with Enzo a non greyhound which surprised me as Bess her sister doesn't tolerate non greyhounds! She would need training to be left but can be left for short periods.

I leaded Julie up to take out this morning. She greeted me with a very waggy tail and it didnt stop wagging for the duration if our walk. She jumped along like a kangaroo but once I discovered she likes to be at the front if the group she walked really well even stopping to wait for the others to catch up. She was very affectionate back in her kennel. A very pretty happy little girl. Xxxx
