Daybreaks Diary!

What a lovely autumnal day, lots of sunshine and got really quite warm. We were missing Dave and Maisie Moo today, but still had lots of lovely volunteers. The dogs that could go on walks had both morning and afternoon walks. Thanks to everyone for their help today, Denise for opening up and to Bella who helped Denise clean the chicken house! Billy is becoming more confident and has actually started to play a little. Mikey the younger still loves his little outside enclosure, as does Gill!!! It was fairly quiet for visitors today, but a late viewing resulted in Joy being reserved. She must have known as with a little tweek to her feeding guide and the satisfaction of her reservation she finished all of her dinner! Thanks to Kitty who helped with cleaning first thing and then gave all the dog's a lovely groom. Lois also came in and walked the dogs this morning and helped sort blankets and towels with Kitty for our stores. Carol and Alison sorted food and washing, thanks both. As always stay safe and well all, hopefully we can soon start to organize some more events, watch this space!

As Lady Victoria mentioned, Joy has not been eating well. We put her breakfast in her kennel this morning, she was still not too keen. She did pick at it from time to time. However, she had a viewing this today and Wolfed the remains of her breakfast, she met the family, everyone fell in love and she was reserved! I had decided to change her diet a little by giving less burns and more of the 'good stuff'. Don't know if she knew she has been reserved and all being well is going home next weekend or liked the change of food, but she ate the lot. Whatever it was she enjoyed her dinner. X

Our beautiful girl made her final journey to Rainbow bridge yesterday, we are heartbroken and will miss her forever, we are thankful she didnt suffer for long and know she is now pain free. Run free our wonderful angel, reunited with all your brothers and sisters. We will love you always. Xxxx

Mac popped in to see us this afternoon. He was going to go out for a couple of hours to the park with Ricky, Jess and Daisy. He is such a very happy lad and his foster family told us what a great boy he is and very well behaved and is walking well on his lead. He has been great in the house and been no trouble . Hope he enjoyed his afternoon at the park. Xxx

Mikey's paw was a little less swollen today but it still looks sore. We are desperate to find a forever home for him. He is such a lovely lad. Sure there must be a sofa with his name on it....it would be great if he and kennel mate lady could go home together but we realise this may not be possible. Xxx
