Paddy, paddy, paddy, I keep looking into those eyes and they are pulling on my heart, as it is like looking at my beautiful boy. Not sure if your trainer has said much about you but wondering if you would fit our shall we say 'unique' needs, cat, child and other breed friendly? Everyone keeps telling me jet will send the right boy or girl when the time is right...? Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

It was a hive of activity at Daybreaks today!! Our lovely students got stuck in again, and after the routine doggy related activities were done, set to clearing cobwebs, cleaning windows & cleaning walls - not the most glamorous of tasks, but so important to keep the kennels environment clean and safe for everyone. I met our new arrivals Paddy, Tiff & Joy - all such lovely, friendly doggies. Despite his poorly paw, Mikey R was very bright today and has taken all his medication like a good boy. The swelling has reduced already, but we have to watch him like a hawk as he will insist on licking!! Sadly we have left him with a muzzle on this evening as there will be no one to watch him overnight. Hope the meds do their job quickly and he is soon back to normal. Billy was also very bright after his neutering yesterday. Bless him, you can see him trying so hard to be brave and interact with you, but something just keeps holding him back! However, great progress was made today as he actually let our student Adam clean his teeth. Up until today he has been very reluctant to let anyone touch his mouth & back away if you try. Well done Billy - you are getting there, and we will take it at your own pace. x Pretty little Joy had a session in the magnotherapy box today, and what a good girl she was. She is recovering from a broken bone in her foot, and was limping a little and favouring the paw so we decided to give her a course of magnotherapy to aid the recovery process. Lunchtime saw the arrival of Bullet to join the Daybreaks family. What a big, strong, handsome lad he is. He was quite strong on the lead to start with on the afternoon walk, but did settle after a while. Not surprising really as everyone and everything around him is new & strange. Hope he settles in quickly. I cant believe it's the weekend again already! As it has been such a lovely sunny day today, it's white wine on the menu shortly. I will raise my glass to welcome all our new boys & girls and wish for forever homes for all our residents very soon. Whatever you're up to this weekend, stay safe & well and enjoy. Cheers! Angie xx

It's just not been a good week for our lovley Mikey R...Tuesday he was neutered and had lots of teeth removed and today he has an infection in his paw! He is a really wonderful lad who needs a wonderful home where he can get lots of TLC. He would be a fabulous lad to have around, his happy disposition and love of life would certainly brighten your day. To have double the joy, why not take his lovely kenenel mate , Lady too! :)) Sending him my cuddle tonight. Xxx

Gorgeous Joy arrived today. What a super little girl! Very happy and friendly. Her trainer says she has spent sometime in his home and has been great. He believes she will be good with children. My photo of her just doesn't do her Justice! She is a very pretty young lady. 🙂 Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

When we arrived this morning poor Mikey R had a very swollen front leg. 🙁 Our vet was great and as we had Billy booked in for his neutering op this morning managed to see Mikey too. He has an infection and has antibiotics. Hoping he will soon be feeling better. Billy's neutering op went well and I was able to pick him up quite early and he was home for dinner time. :)) He was very nervous having to go into the vets but he was such a good boy while he was there. Xxx Our beautiful little Annie went off to her new home today. :)) Have everything crossed for her. Xxx We also had another new arrival, gorgeous Joy. So cute and such a petite girl. Xxx Thanks to everyone for their help today. Alan and Declan had a trip to the warehouse....we are very grateful to Bob for letting us use his van Our poor little vehicle decided it wasn't going to start today! Many thanks to everyone who helped out today. So grateful to Richard for helping me take Mikey R and Billy to the vet this morning. Xxx

Well, I should think so too!!! I think it will take more than coffee making to make up for your lack of commitment!! Seriously, hope you are having a lovely time (will deal with you on Wednesday) lol. Xxx Thanks for your kind words about Mike Stewart Lawrence, such a lovely genuine man, who, on his first visit to Daybreaks to use the sand run was adamant that he wanted to support us by holding a gig, sadly Covid hit and it was put on the back burner. He was so very passionate about helping us. So very sad that his dream did not come to fruition.

Due to the complaints about our lack of appearance for Wednesday morning walks, we have decided we will drag ourselves away from sunny Cyprus at the weekend and be back in time for next week. I will make the coffees to make up for our misconduct.!! On a more serious note, we were saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Mike Stewart Lawrence. Thinking of his family and hoping his dog, Jodie is OK. Xx
