Monty (Chase)
I’m Homed
We have had Monty 3 weeks tomorrow and you would have thought he had been here for years. He likes to wake me up nice and early for breakfast when it’s my day off around 5am. When I am at work he likes to have a lie in and wake the others between 8am to 9am. He loves his meal times and loves a good lean. We all get plenty of love and wagging tails. His confidence with other dogs is improving but he would rather be left alone after a introduction. We have got used to having his nose in every draw, cupboard and fridge we open. He loves our company and we love our boy who just wants to be loved and shown the big wide world.

Topsy

Topsy paid her first visit to Elmdon park today. As would be expected on a first visit she was quite keen on the lead and anxious to explore as much of the park as she could. New sights such as the swans with their cygnets intrerested her but as with her reaction to other breeds there was no sign of aggression. Anyone looking for an affectionate lively girl who has already bonded with 2 boy kennel companions in Spike and Phoenix would find Topsy the ideal girl for them

Harry

Sadly Harry needs to find a new home. It is due to unfortunate change in the owners circumstances. He is great with children but unfortunately not good with other small dogs or cats. If we can avoid him coming into kennels we would appreciate it - their owner can hold on to them for a couple of weeks. If you think you can offer him a home, please call us.

Daybreaks Diary!

A great day....Phoenix went home! :)) It was a relatively quiet day at the kennels. It gave our volunteers more time to spend with our residents. They all enjoyed two good walks, grooming and teeth cleaning. :)) All of our current boys and girls are lovely and would be a fantastic addition to someone's family. Xxx Topsy finds herself on her own again after saying goodbye to her kennel mates...first Spike and now Phoenix. She is a gorgeous girl. I'm sure it won't be long before she finds her forever home. Xxx Roxie's character is beginning to emerge now she is starting to settle. She has a super little twinkle in her eye and has a little dash around the feeding runs! Xxx Ruth came in for a couple of hours even though it was her day off....she had some urgent paperwork to complete. It was fun watching Tony playing with all the toys. There is a knitted Greyhound who is now twice as long as he should be! :)) Many thanks to Yvonne, Gloria, Myra and Dave for all their help today, and thanks to Shirley for all her hard work tidying the sand run. So grateful to you all. Xxx We have two new arrivals due in this week. :)) Looking forward to meeting them. 🙂 Xxx

A big cuddle for Phoenix tonight. :)) It cheered us all up to see him go home this afternoon! Xxx His new family are lovely. His new Mom came to pick him up and his new Nanny was waiting excitedly at home for him to arrive. I had the pleasure of dropping them home and she was quite overwhelmed to meet him. Xxx They had seen him on the website and decided he was the lad for them. :)) Wishing them all lots of happy times together. Xxxe

Spent some time getting to know this delightful friendly little girl today. Good walking, enjoyed being groomed and having her teeth cleaned. Definitely loves a fuss. She seems to be a sweet friendly little girl. Hope you soon find your forever home soon. Xxxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Couldn't walk this gentle little girl today because of her recent spey but could groom her and give and receive cuddles. At one stage she had her head on my shoulder. She doesnt want to have her teeth cleaned but when I put toothpaste on my finger and rubbed her teeth she tolerated it so probably with time and patience she would allow it. She has got lovely teeth though. Gorgeous pretty little girl. Lots of kisses xxx

What a very handsome, loving boy Sanka is. Waits calmly to be leaded up for a walk. He is sometimes reluctant to walk but nothing that waving a dog treat under his nose wont cure!!!. He enjoys being groomed and is happy to have his teeth cleaned. He is very affectionate and I do hope his forever home isnt far away. Cuddles for him xxxx

Leo is a smashing boy. He walks well on the lead, loves cuddles, is very good when being groomed and doesn't mind having his pearly white teeth cleaned. Hes going to make a lovely addition to some lucky persons family. Cuddles for him tonight xx

Popped into the kennels this morning to pick up a couple of auction items to post out and was in time to give my boy a cuddle just before his new Mum arrived - perfect timing!! Am so, so happy that he has finally found a forever home - wishing you both many happy times ahead. xxxx
