George was very sadly returned today through no fault of his own, his owner was distraught, it was confirmed that he had developed an allergic reaction to George. He is happy for me to pass this information on. If anyone would like more information about George his owner is more than happy to speak to them, just give the kennels a call and we can pass your details on to him. He says that he was amazing with children of all age groups, good with other breeds of dogs and is house trained.

Purdy the Italian greyhound and her big brother Zeus had a fantastic time in the sand run yesterday and they both enjoyed meeting the beautiful Lisa.I hope they all enjoyed their rabbits ears. Tracie xx

A big cuddle for Cleo tonight. It was so sad to hear from Roxy, what an awful decision to have to make. I know how much she loves Cleo. Xxx However she has found a new home with a lovely lady and her Greyhound lad Rascal. :)) He is absolutely adorable and so sweet. He was very happy to meet her and although a little overwhelmed by his attention I think Cleo liked him too! She certainly didn't hesitate to get into the car with him! Lots of love to Cleo and to Roxy. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

A very soggy start to the day! :)) Thanks so much to Angie and Michael for their early start cleaning the kennels and feeding all the residents. The rain did ease off enough for our walkers to be able to take the dogs out for morning and afternoon walks. 🙂 It was a very busy day! :)) Samson eventually went off to his new home! He was so comfy snuggled up to his new Dad and literally sitting on his knee that he didn't want to leave the office. :))) Xxx We had a new arrival Hagar! What a great lad he is, very happy and so good looking! :)) After coming back to the Daybreaks yesterday little Chloe was understandably quite stressed in her kennel. She came out and sat in the kitchen run to watch all that was going on and went out for a walk with the other dogs. After contacting a lady who we knew was looking for an older Greyhound, we were overjoyed when she and her Greyhound Rascal came to meet Chloe and wanted to offer her a home. :)) So happy for her. Xxx It was great to see Hollie and her folks and Andy with Gracie and Eddie...thank you for your patience as I was a little behind with the appointments by this time! 🙂 Xxx Finally there was a meeting for Lisa with a tiny Italian Greyhound and her big brother a gorgeous brindle Bull Mastiff...quite a combination! The little girl was in charge! :)) They both liked Lisa and she was great with them! Xxx I am so grateful to everyone for their help today, bless you. 🙂 Xxx

Roxy, we said yesterday Cleo's stay would be a short one. I really hope you can take comfort in the fact you did the right thing by her and she now has a home with another grey for company and a very large garden, just what you wished for her!!! Jo xx

Wow, and just like that she’s been snatched up like I knew she would! Thank you all for the lovely comments, it has really comforted me. To the amazing woman who’s rehomed her so quickly, thank you so so much! I am so sad but so happy at the same time, so relieved! She’s an angel girl and will be your best friend. Next chapter for you Clee clee, you’re gonna love it xxx

I know personally how much you love Cleo & just how hard it was for you to make this decision. I think you have absolutely done the right thing and whoever is lucky enough to rehome her, will see the years of love and hard work you invested into her. She is an absolute delight ????

So sorry you’ve had to return Cleo. It has obviously been a very hard thing for you to have to do and I can see how you’ve done this for Cleo’s happiness. I’m sure she’ll find a new home soon and I hope you can take heart from the life and love you’ve given her for the last 3 years. I’m sure you have many happy memories x
