Very sorry but none of our current residents are cat friendly....we will keep details of everyone who has expressed an interest in homing a Greyhound who is cat friendly and contact you if one becomes available. Xxx

    I’m Homed

It was a quiet day for visitors at the kennels today which was a relief really as there was just Yvonne and myself this morning. :)) We were joined by Helen at lunchtime. :)) It was great to be able to spend extra time with our current residents. We decided to not to go for a walk as Yvonne has only just had the plaster cast removed from her writst and Helen has a bad back!! Instead we took the dogs in the sand run either for a stroll around or a run. Ritchie and Hawk were especially happy to be able to have a play. :)) All the dogs had a nice groom and it was even warm enough to leave their fleeces off for a while. 🙂 Ritchie kept us on our toes when we let him out to investigate the kennels! He loved it, it did him good to be out and about. He seemed much calmer after he had his dinner and settled well in his kennel. :)) Rosie came in later this afternoon to sort out homing packs for our two new arrivals due in tomorrow and two more coming in later this week. Xx We gave all the doggies a Kong stuffed with treats when we left this evening. :)) Thanks so much to everyone for your help today. Xxx Xxx

Ritchie had a great time today. He is still very stressed in his kennel so we let him out! He investigated every corner of the kennels....the office and all the treats were very exciting to him and when I opened the food storage cupboard he tried desperately to chew a hole in a bag of Burns! He stood very patiently while Yvonne and I gave him a groom. :)) He is a super affectionate lad loves life and has so much love to give. Do hope his forever home will soon be his! :)) Xxx

Thanks for asking shanishoo.... Cora is doing really well. She is being reviewed every two days so was seen Saturday and is being reviewed today for dressing changes but so far (touch wood) she is healing well - phew! She has got a gigantic cone of shame so she can't do any damage!

If you are a member of our Facebook group you will see the photos and videos.... On Saturday I did some socialisation training with Coffee and his new owners. I showed them techniques of how to introduce to other breeds - he was fantastic at responding. Yesterday after heading home from the kennels I bandaged a poorly leg on Stella the greyhound who had degloved a section of her front leg! It was then off to Willows to collect Keeley who has been in all weekend. She was extremely bright and had been very well looked after by Tom the vet. We are waiting for biopsy results to decide the next stage of treatment. Thank goodness for Petplan! Momma, Tiggy and Tony had been left quite a bit yesterday and I’m so pleased Tony didn’t stress... we kept a check on his movements on the camera and he liked looking out of the window bless him!
