It was a very busy day! :)) We had three new arrivals, Alex and Belle were brought in this morning. Richard and Bob collected Bobby for us this afternoon. Thanks so much to Shirley and Louise for bathing them all. :)) Ruth and Alan had a trip to the warehouse and Richard a trip to the tip! (He gets all the glamorous jobs!!) Lucy and Jess were busy taking photos of Belle, Alex and Bobby, taking advantage of the sunshine. :)) In between all the activity we had Ruth's delicious homemade cake! It was Shirley's Birthday yesterday. Xx Xxx

Tony and Skip showed just how special Greyhounds are when they accompanied the funeral procession yesterday. They were walked by members of the family and took their role in the proceedings calmly and reverently. As Ruth said earlier it was an emotional sight. Thinking of the gentleman who has passed way and his family. Xxx

Belle

Well this cheeky lady has been with us for 6 months now so I thought it was time for an update as time flies so fast. Belle settled down to home life very quickly and has become firm friends with her spaniel brother and two sisters. She is also keeping an eye on old man Paddy and she takes his slowness into account when they are out and about together. Belle loves playing with spaniel Ruby as they both like a run round the garden. Ruby plays hide and seek with Belle, getting her to chase and she then quickly hides in the shrubs. Belle has worked out its best to just wait and Ruby will jump out and the game starts again. Its lovely to watch them. Belle has met many different dogs of all shapes and sizes and she greets them all with good manners and friendliness. Their favourite friend is near neighbour Bernard, a big chocolate Labrador. Bernard won't let his owner walk past without saying hello and Paddy and Belle are equally pleased to see him on our walks. Belle does have some odd eating habits, our old coffee table is now minus its corners and she likes to pinch the foam scouring pads from the kitchen. In fact food of any description is always top priority, she is Ellie the foodie's apprentice. With such lovely innocent eyes she gets away with it too xx

I met this lovely big lad today and wow! what a bundle of fun he is. Very affectionate and playful. I could see him enjoying playing with older children or an active family who could keep him amused. He is still only a very young lad with much to learn but he's eager with a get up and go go go attitude. Whoever takes him home will have a super play mate. He certainly put a smile on my face today, what we all need in the current climate xx

Yesterday Kate and I took Skip and Tony to be part of a funeral procession as requested by the bereaved family. Tony and Skip looked so elegant walking in front of the horse drawn funeral carriage that it was quite emotional.

We met new arrivals Elsie and Locky this morning, both lovely. Elsie had a viewing and was reserved. Locky is such a happy friendly lad who just wants to give kisses and play! Thanks to our Wednesday walkers and also to Denise and Dave as always. All dogs had morning walks. This afternoon Chris arrived so all dogs apart from Ritchie had a walk. I took him into the sand run, bless him, he just walked by my side or just behind me. He really craves human company, he needs a home where he will have that company for most of the time. Please, please if you could offer him a forever home or a temporary foster home he and we would be most grateful. He really is not happy with kennel life, once someone sits with him he is a happy relaxed boy, it's really heartbreaking to see him so unhappy :(((( We have two new arrivals due to come in tomorrow, can't wait to meet them on Friday. Well, as always please stay safe and well. X
