Daybreaks Diary!

Two more beautiful girls arrived today, Susie and Misty. Susie is tiny! Xx Alan and Declan went to the warehouse. Fortunately although no toilet rolls were found, they were able to stock up on the more important things to a Greyhound such as food! :)) Thanks to everyone who came in to help today. We are so grateful. The weather wasn't brilliant again but we managed morning and afternoon walks....it's good to hear that even the Corona Virus can't stop us from walking our dogs. Xxx It was Nells turn to be neutered today. Thanks so much to Richard and Lucy for taking her. She was very sleepy when I picked her up this afternoon. Her kennel mate Kelly missed her today. Xxx Well done to Alan for finding chocolate donuts for us all this morning! :)) Thank you. Xxx Xxx

We rehomed Beano yesterday. She is delightful and settling in really well. We absolutely adore her xx. If I knew how to add a photo I would add one of her happy smiley face in her new home!

Finn (Trebles)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Finn has been with us for exactly five weeks and in these difficult times when our lives have been turned upside down, it makes you appreciate your greyhounds all the more. Finn is certainly a character (and about as different from the poor soul we met in the kennels as it is possible to be). He's taught us a lot. Not to leave margarine on the work top, or carelessly leave kids packed lunches in reach - and just how interesting squirrels in the garden really are. Amber has taught him how to smile (no, really - he grins like Amber when he sees us in the morning!), how to wag your tail carefully to avoid splitting it and creating a blood bath and how to eat pigs ears (Amber is the champion at eating those - he is positively slow in comparison). Mind you, Amber has learned to eat her breakfast more quickly! Seeing his crazy ears in a morning makes us smile - it looks like he has bed hair! What a chap.

We have a viewing for Billy on Saturday. He really is a very handsome boy. People come to choose a dog but reality is the dog chooses you! Everything crossed for the couple viewing - they will find a new friend to fill that gigantic hole that a wonderful lad filled before xxxx

Apparently there is someone called Corona here. They don’t sound very nice though and everyone wants them to go away. I just want fuss! Rumour has it that hoomans will be at home more often. Especially mom and Samantha. Maybe more treats coming my way? Hope so! Dad has tried talking to me about stealing the washing up bowl! He said it’s very kind that I want to help wash up but he would rather the bowl stayed in the kitchen! How can I do the washing up in there! It needs to be by my bed. I guess he doesn’t understand. We had a couple visitors who I met for the first time! I was such a good hound and my hoomans are very proud of me! I got lots of Fuss and attention! Love my fuss. Even got a treat for being so good! Then after I stole the washing bowl about 10 times again! Whoops. Russ Xx
