Daybreaks Diary!

A really busy day today! Bindi went off to be neutered first thing this morning. She is usually a bouncy girl but she wasn't too keen on being at the vets. I picked her up this afternoon, all the staff had fallen in love with her! It's Harry's turn tomorrow for a trip to the vets! I'm sure he will have all the ladies swooning...he is adorable! Xx Richard, Shirley and Declan very kindly did a warehouse run for us. Many thanks to Bob who let us borrow his van...very sadly we no longer have a van of our own, we had to give it back to the Greyhound Trust when we left them at the beginning of the month. 🙁 Shirley ordered the piece missing from our dog rehabilitation/walking machine. We now have an emergency stop button, thanks Shirley! It works great! Not got a dog on it as yet, tried to get Lyra to try it out but she was happier to go and play with her ball in the sand run. :)x Pixie went off to her new home. :)) She has a new name Florence! Xx She was good and so patient in the office while we filled in paperwork. Her new owner treated her to a brand new wardrobe. 🙂 x Our tiny little Kylie has been reserved! :)) Exciting! Xx Amber came to visit us again looking for Mr. Right...she was much better with some of boys this time. :)) Although Skip was on the receiving end of her "sharp tongue" today. 🙂 Thanks so much to all our volunteers and students today. So grateful to for everyone's support. Xx ....Alan is on holiday this week, we were very disappointed not to have received any donuts sent in the post to us! :))) xx Xxx

I feel so sorry for Daisy. She is so unsure of her surroundings. She seems as if she wants to come out for a walk but then she just stands and looks around. I do hope she'll come to realise that learning the world can be fun. She likes hugs in her kennels and seems to be ok with people and other hounds. So massive hugs Daisy dog xxxx

Good golly miss Holly, one totally fabulous girl. She's friendly, happy, and gorgeous. When I went into her kennel with the lead she wagged her tail then SAT for me to lead her up. We then had a very relaxed walk along the road and she wasn't bothered by the traffic noise or the other dogs or a man cycling past. She is quite a dainty little girl with lovely markings. Big kisses and cuddles xxxx

Oh my, that picture gave me goose bumps, she is the spitting image of our Holly, same markings, same facial expression and even has the same coat!!!

I have found the sofa. Mom decided to get up and make my bed so I stole her seat. I was very comfortable! She turned around shocked! Hehe. Told the hoomans to get up this morning. They were taking so long so had to bark for me breakfast. It is not allowed to come late..... Lubs Russ Xx

10:59 pm Tuesday 28th January 2020, Jeffrey said " Out for a wee Out for a wee" as Jeffrey opened the back door, Carrie and the most beautiful, gentle, and lovely, loving, girl Princess Jess went out no problem Celia was a bit reserved (or should I say stubborn and looking for food and trouble, she's definitely the man about the house ) Then Celia suddenly shot out the back door and sounded like she had bashed into the garden fence 30ft away from the house, Jeffrey couldn't see what was going on and a few seconds later Celia started barking What the Hell is going on? Jeffrey Thought, but he just closed the door and thought, Get on with it, after all the neighbor's dogs bark at night so why can't mine. Jeffrey got the dogs food ready for the morning and let them all in, First was Jess and Carrie, No sign of Celia, "Celia Celia, Oi OI come on" said Jeffrey then comes Celia Trotting in, Head Held High like she was walking around the ring at Crufts, with a huge RAT in her mouth. We didn't kiss goodnight, last night ......

Daybreaks Diary!

Again, it was very cold again today. As always thanks as always to our Wednesday walkers, volunteers and placement students. Little Daisy is still not sure about going for a walk! Given time I am sure she will come around and see it is enjoyable to go walking, until then she can go in the sand run for a stroll. Big lad Paddy is certainly enjoying his gentle sand run walks, he is such a handsome affectionate boy. We had a new arrival, Holly. She is gorgeous , she had a bath on arrival and enjoyed her dinner, hopefully she will settle soon. As you can see by her photo she is very inquisitive regarding new things. Thankfully Lucy should be in tomorrow and get a better picture of her (thanks Kate, I thought the one I took was quite cute)!
