Rose had her neutering operation today. She was so quiet in the car and super at the vets. Very sleepy when I picked her up ....her kennel mate, Kylie was most concerned and was snuggled up next to her when I went home tonight. Xxx

    I’m Homed

Daisy's tummy was a little more settled today, bless her. She is a very timid little girl and at the moment just doesn't want to go out for a walk. Instead she seems to enjoy going into the sand run and even had a run around with our students. It's a really big adjustment for her but I'm sure when the right home comes along she will hopefully find out the outside world isn't as bad as she thinks. Xxx

Zoey together with kennel companion Drew went to Brueton Park this morning. She travelled well in the car was sensible on the lead and showed no aggression to other breeds. Lovely girl who could probably share a home with other dogs

Well mom got up today and she been moving around pushing a thing with wheels. So I’m thinking I’ve seen people push these and it is where they put their puppies. I have looked and looked and sniffed and sniffed, followed her whenever she’s moved and - no puppy! I’m losing hope....... lubs to all Florence xxx

After I posted my update, I decided to play a game of “steal hoomans items” ! This is a game where you find any item that belong to hoomans and runs round the house with it! This will cause you and your hoomans to have a game of “catch me if you can” hehe. Today’s items were a long duster and a towel! Lubs Russ Xx

    I’m Homed

We had lots of lovely volunteers, Duke of Edinburgh students and our two college placement students. Thanks all for your help. Thanks also to Liz_Beth for taking trebled and Zoey to the Sheldon Country Park walk and to Richard and Shirley for taking Drew and Harry along too. Gorgeous Paddy had a couple of lovely strolls around the sand run as he is currently on restricted exercise. He would be ideally suited to a home where he can just put his paws up and have short gentle walks. He is such a handsome big lad. Little Daisy is still not sure of her new surroundings or walking, she did have an upset tum this afternoon. Hopefully as she settles she will become more confident. Not too sure she enjoyed the second bath in as many days, bless her. Shy girl Kylie is starting to show her cheeky playful side, for those of you who don't know she is the sister of Celia who was very nervous and timid whilst at the kennels. If you have read the posts by her dad she certainly is not the same girl now! I suspect Kylie will be very similar in character!! We had lots of visitors come to use the sand run, some regular users and some new. People are amazed when they see the running area and really enjoy watching their hounds have a good run, or in the case of many greyhounds, a quick sprint followed by much sniffing and looking through the gate at the traffic passing by at the bottom of the drive! Despite the horrible weather it was a greyt day. X

    I’m Homed

My hug goes to Daisy again today. She was a poorly little girl after her worming tablet yesterday. Despite that she seemed a little bit more confident today. She had her 2nd bath in 2 days to get her nice and clean again. I helped one of the other volunteers (well, I tried to help by keeping hold of the slip lead but probably just got in the way!) Hopefully she'll get confident enough in the next few days to go out on walks with the others. She'll make a lovely companion and I hope she gets her forever home soon. x

Oh Russ, I’m keeping a really close eye on mom but no sign of a puppy yet. I like the idea of using the stick things to get to the squiggles, I’ll get mom to bring them next time we come but I think that will be some time away. I love fish and chips, so mean of you mom and dad not to give you the leftovers straight away. Xxx

    I’m Homed

Zoey is a very pretty little girl. She came with me today to Sheldon Country Park. She needed a bit of help getting into the car, bless her! She did settle though and travelled quietly. Once at the park, I don't think she could believe her eyes; so many new sights and sounds. She was exhausted on the way home. She's a sweet little girl. Hoping that she finds her forever home very soon x

Trebles is such a handsome boy. He came with me to Sheldon Country Park today. He happily jumped in the car and settled immediately. He also walked really well. He was a bit interested in non greys but nothing that a little gentle direction didn't fix. He's a lovely boy. Here's hoping for his forever home very soon x
