Maisie

So very happy for Crazy Maisie Moo. She has such a fantastic home. Such a different dog than that who arrived at the kennels. Just goes to show what love and dedication can do. She is so happy and so is her Dad, have to say, made for each other. She is one extremely spoiled girl. Just love picking her up to come to the kennels, she travels so well in the car with my Arry. X

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Another quiet Friday at Daybreaks, but our boys & girls were able to have both morning and afternoon walks and fortunately it stayed dry. The highlight of the day was when the FFP club gained another member - the lovely Maisie has been officially signed up, yay! We have had a last minute rush and all the printed tickets for Countdown to Christmas have been sold! If you would still like to come along, please do so and as you wont have been catered for and will miss out on the buffet, we can offer a discounted ticket rate on the door. Well it's the weekend again - and it's a busy one too. Let's hope that by Monday morning we will have some red or green signs on some kennel doors, and we will have raised lots of money at the various events for the ongoing care of our boys & girls. It is most definitely wine time very soon, and I will raise my glass for a successful weekend - see some of you tomorrow evening hopefully, but whatever you are doing - stay dry and enjoy! Cheers. What a difference between the shy little girl on Saturday morning to the confident young lady this afternoon. You were so funny trying to climb onto my lap to give me kisses and cuddles. If I don't see you before you go home be a good girl and enjoy your well deserved retirement. x

ONE more sleep Tommy then you'll have your own forever home. Pleased I got to have a cuddle with you today. You were so relaxed - like you know you're going home. Be a good boy and we'll see you on a walk soon I hope. x

Penny (Roxy)
I’m Homed
Hi tessbonn, Roxy is a super little girl. She is very quiet in her kennel, likes to make her own bed! :)) She enjoys going for walks and is great on the lead. She hasn't met any small fluffies yet but gets on well with the other Greyhounds. She is good with people and loves a cuddle. Xx If you would like to meet her please call the kennels on 0121 782 7702. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
A very cold day again but nice and dry so we were able to go on morning and afternoon walks. Shirley took Kristoff for a gentle stroll around the sand run as he is post op after his neutering operation earlier this week. :)) Many thanks to everyone who brought in donations of bedding and food for our residents and items for our donation table. Xx Recently homed little Cassie came in with her Greyhound brother and sisters to have a play in the sand run. It was lovely to see her as she was quite poorly for a few days after her neutering operation. Today she was a very happy girl! :)) Thanks so much to all our lovely volunteers today.... 🙂 Xxx Xxx

Finn (Trebles)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Took Trebles for a walk yesterday. He's interested in the world around him, easy to walk on a lead. Loves hugs and being stroked and whoever has reserved him is very lucky.

Drew
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I took Drew for a walk yesterday and he is a sweet dog who walked well on his lead. He was very excited getting ready for a walk. Nice leaner when hugged. He's a big friendly giant!

Dewey (Dew)
I’m Homed
Oh no Dewey! How dare they.... I would make sure that you look at the spot where your bed should be and then at your slaves, repeat at least 20 times. Hopefully they will take the hint and get you a new bed for your daytime spot, it worked for me as I now have 3 indoor dog beds, use of the sofa, use of a chair, use of the guest bed in TCs study and an outdoor dog bed! Good luck with the slave training. Florence xxx

Teddy
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Jeff, a lot of people who foster for us end up being a failed foster parent and adopting instead! :)) We don't really expect Teddy to be coming back to the kennels. Xxx

Well it was nice and dry but very cold. Thanks to our Wednesday walkers, students and the lovely volunteers who came in today. They were quite taken with our residents. Kristoff was bouncy today after his neutering op yesterday, he was not happy that he couldn't go on a walk, bless him. He made that very clear! Thanks for the donations of bedding and towels. There were a couple of bookings for the sand run. The final arrangements for the Countdown to Christmas are underway. If you would like a ticket but have yet to get one please contact us by Friday, just so we can confirm numbers for catering purposes. We will also have lots of lovely goodies on sale too. Well, I'm now going to try and get warm. Take care everyone.

Keep working on your staff Dew, sometimes training takes a while, but they'll get it eventually. Love to you and your family. Xx
