Oh Barney, didn’t we have fun! Mom told me I was going to see you but I didn’t believe her, especially as we travelled for 8 hours and picked up Rosa on the way. I loved seeing you all and swapping beds and hoomans for fuss and love. I think you won the ‘waggiest tail’ competition and I won the ‘waggiest tail with a milk carton attached’ competition. Can’t wait to see you at Christmas. Paws crossed that your dad says you can come. Lubs to all, Florence xxx

I spoke to Brodie's (Willis) new family today like his ex kennel mate Dewey he is doing great! He Has visited the local dog friendly cafe and was brave enough to accept sausages from other customers. :)) He loves his new friend BB and she loves him. Bless them! Xxx

I spoke to Dewey's family today. She is doing great! She and Sonny are getting along really well. She is enjoying her walks and her food and is getting braver when meeting new people. She is loved very much. :)) Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
A little chilly today! :)) We had lots of lovely volunteers so the residents enjoyed morning and afternoon walks and didn't get wet! Norman and his Grandson Jake took Drew for his first trip to Brueton Park this morning. He looked very smart in his "I need a home" vest. Norman said he was a good boy although quite excited to meet other breeds. Xxx I visited ex Daybreaks resident Steffi and his family this afternoon. He is such a very lovely, happy and friendly lad. It's always great to see lads and lasses after they have been homed. It really brightens up the day!! :)) Thanks so much to everyone for your help today. :))) Xxx

Barney
Over the Rainbow Bridge
This weekend was AMAZING! Friday night we went on a super long drive. It was 4 hours! I didn’t know where I was but I saw Auntie Klaire and started to get really excited! Then I saw Florence when I got inside! Was great to see you again! So we spent the weekend at Uncle Robert’s house with cousin Acer and her new boxer puppies. Sister Samantha wanted one but we wasn’t allowed! We had a great time and yes we played Musical Beds and Musical Dinners which is where we swap dinners with each other! Haha! I loved the garden it was just like a massive field that I could run around in for ages! It was amazing! I had to tell Acer off a few times as she did get a little too much at times. I would just like to say how much my confidence has grown. I was a very good boy and I came up and asked for fuss and walked around. I even was confident enough to try and steal food when I could. The hoomans are so proud of how far I have come with my confidence and they are so happy I am improving! They have helped me so much! Anyway it was such a wonderful weekend and I miss it. It was so great to see Florence and Klaire and I really hope we meet up soon. Hopefully it will be at Christmas! Lubs Barney Xxx

Evie is a lovely happy friendly little girl in her kennel. She loves human company and shares happily with Elmer. With a little bit of training on her walking, she will make a super pet. Cuddles for her tonight xxx

Drew

Drew has today paid his first visit to Brueton Park. He jumped into the car on his own and traveled quietly to the park. He did find meeting other breeds a new experience and although not aggressive in anyway he did become very excited and bouncy. He walked sensibly apart from those occasions with myself and my 9 year old grandson holding a sliplead. His behaviour with children was excellent. He is a friendly dog towards humans but needs sometime to adjust to the big outside world.

Popped in on Friday specifically to meet this black beauty in preparation for the home visit with her prospective new family. I sat in the kennel with her and I thought she was an absolute bundle of joy and quite a little live wire! I had so many kisses from her in such a short space of time. She's going to be so much fun! x

Popped in on Friday and couldn’t resist paying this little sweetie a visit. When she went on the website admit I had a little emotional moment having had my own Lola, so she deserved a few minutes of my time. Sitting with her in her kennel she’s such a little sweetie. She gave me some very coy looks to draw me in and then we had lots of fuss and cuddles. She’s beautiful and if she brings her new owner as much joy as my Lola did to me, then they should feel very blessed indeed. Be happy little one xxxx

Danny

Took Danny to Brueton Park today, he was a little unsure in the car at first, but did eventually settle. He is quite strong on the lead and needs some manners when out, he will need to be showed the outside world gradually as he found it all too much, he did not know where to look first as there was so much to see. A nice friendly dog but will require some patience and understanding initially.

Had a lovely fuss time with Tommy in his kennel today. I got lots of gentle kisses and there was loads of jaw chattering. He is such a lovely boy and has been waiting too long for his forever sofa. Please someone take this lovely boy home with them xx

My daughter and me had the absolute pleasure of being able to go into this boy’s kennel today to comfort snd cuddle him. He was so affectionate and warm, and we just loved how he leaned on us! Sooo glad to see he has been reserved! Such a handsome boy x
