I'm so sorry sweetheart but I'm sure you wont mind being patient a little while longer. As you know Wendy has been waiting very quietly for a while and I was worried she was being overlooked. Your turn will come. Its very early days for you. Xx

What a happy lad Razzle is. He came out with me to Brueton Park today. He jumped in the car with little encouragement and I actually forgot he was there when driving as he was so settled. He didn't even get up once parked. He was totally chilled out in the boot and no problem whatsoever. Once we got walking he was interested in everything. He had difficulty keeping a straight line as there was so many sights and smells he wanted to explore. Bless him! We met several other breeds on our walk, including a 6 year old Jack Russell and a 4 month old Staffie. Both were greeted politely and he was a model greyhound. We walked right through the town centre and received fuss from quite a few children. He isn't fazed by anything. Such a lovely lad. He will make a great companion for someone x

Well Wendy, well done. Sometimes things work in mysterious ways. I know when you had a viewing yesterday that the lovely lady was so very torn between you and the dog she chose. She found it very difficult to decide. She made me reassure her that we would find you your perfect home. Job done I think!

So sorry for Cindy, but as Kate quite rightly says the dogs choose each other. So happy for Wendy being chosen by Jinky. But Cindy being a little blue girl with very pretty eyes will not have to wait long for a home that is just right for her. X

Sadly Cindy is no longer reserved. The gentleman who had reserved her brought his Greyhound Jinky to meet her this morning. They were fine together but then she met Wendy and it was obvious they felt very comfortable with each other. Its always best if the dogs choose each other! 🙂 Cindy is a lovely girl so I am sure it wont be long before she finds herself reserved again. Xxx

Thank you Auntie Kate, you should see them wince whenever a door shuts (even if it’s on the TV) or Florence starts wagging that tail - she just loves to wag. Moms threatening to tie it to her leg! Xx

  • 2019 Daybreaks Diary!

    I’m Homed

A busy old day today - we had lots of lovely volunteers which meant the doggies had 2 good walks and all health checks and teeth cleaning sessions were completed. Tiger is still moving very gingerly today after his big op yesterday, but is a happy boy and enjoyed his meals and extra cuddles bless him. x I made some salmon & green bean fishcakes yesterday as a treat for the boys & girls - and it's safe to say they were rather well received!! If there was a pattern on the food bowls I am sure it would have been licked off as the doggies cleaned every last speck of food from them!! Very easy to make, very healthy and very popular! Sue took Penny off to the Vet this morning for the first part of her vaccination, she travelled well in the car and was a very good girl in the waiting room with the other breeds of dog she met. This was all information we could pass on to the lady viewing her later on in the day - and the lovely little girl has now found herself reserved - yay!! x All our recent arrivals are starting to settle in and find their feet, or paws! Topper is a very handsome big boy, who is so very gentle and calm. Elmer is another bouncy big boy, and Wilma a quiet, shy girl. It never ceases to amaze me just how many diverse personalities our boys & girls have. We had lots of visitors today, and the diary for tomorrow has viewings booked - so keep your fingers crossed that the red signs keep on appearing! Now the sun is shining at last I will raise a glass of white wine to toast the Daybreaks family, both 2 & 4 legged - it's a great thing to be a part of. Thanks for everyone's help today, have a good weekend one and all. Cheers! Angie xx

    I’m Homed

Florence update by SFF Maud So when mom, TC and Florence returned this morning mom wouldn’t let me and Coco go out as she’d ‘had enough drama for one day’. Started to rain anyway so I wasn’t fussed. By 2.20 mom is getting concerned as Florence’s tail is bleeding and she’s flicking it up the walls. So off they go again to the vets. They waited a long time because the vet was treating a cow and the receptionist had to clean the floor twice..... they are back now and Florence has a new dressing. She still looks like a numpty as the syringe case is still on the end of her tail - just don’t tell her I said so! Lubs Maud xxx
