2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Sorry for the late Diary update...Have just woken up from a snooze on the sofa with a lovely little spotty dog next to me! :)) It was brilliant to see Annie go off to her new home accompanied by Elsa this afternoon. Wishing them both a very happy new life together. Xx A short while later Tom now called Shelby went home too. :). He looked very handsome in his new blue collar and rain coat. He smelt lovely after having a "going home" pamper with Jess. Wishing him a great new life. Xx Our new lad Tiger didn't arrive until nearly five o'clock, so he will have to wait for his bath! He is a very handsome lad and has a smiley face! Xx Ruth came in for a while today. Xx She is looking so much better! It was great to see Momma and Tigger again. Xx Louis came to see us today too. Lucy had her work cut out trying to get a photo of him and my little Lyra together! They were bouncing around and generally having a good time. It''s a good thing Lucy has a lot of patience!! She took the lovely homing photos today. Xx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today, it was great to have Jess and Stacy back after their holidays. :)) Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Well, all of our red signs have changed to green. That is absolutely fantastic. What would be just as great would be to have a lot more signs going red and eventually green. Thanks to everyone who has homed one of our fantastic hounds. We have so many more on the waiting list to come to Daybreaks for their chance to find their forever homes.

I stole a pen! Unfortunately I was caught before I got to the exciting bit! It just has a crack in it now! The hoomans heard me crunching on something and ran into the room. Which meant the tasty looking pen was taken off me. Very disappointed. The slaves say I act like a puppy. They still love me for it!

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Jo had an early start this morning taking Elsa to the Vets to be speyed. I had a phone call from her a little while later to say she was stranded at the Vets as her car wouldn't start!! She then spent a very exciting couple of hours at the roadside waiting for the AA man to arrive!! Fortunately it was nothing serious and she was back with us without too much hassle - phew! The doggies had morning walks and afternoon sand run playtime today - many thanks for everyone's help. The sun did show its face a few times but the wind kept us all cool. I met our new trio of Ben, Cleo and Wonky. Poor Wonky and Cleo are still a little unsure about their surroundings, but Ben is a bold, confident lad who runs at life head on!! There were plenty of heath checks to keep me busy during the day, and Wendy is a little star in this respect. She stands beautifully still to be weighed and have her teeth cleaned. Mr & Mrs Dewey and Willis went into the treatment room together as Dewey didn't want to go anywhere without her hubby!!! This morning saw the pretty little Maggie off to her new home, wishing her and her new Mum many happy years ahead. Elsa was a wobbly little girl when she came back from the Vet this evening and wanted nothing more than to lie down on her comfy low bed, bless her. Hoping she feels a lot better in the morning. Just a reminder that tickets for the Let the Stars Shine Again remembrance evening are available from the kennels. We are delighted that Ruth will be able to join us for the evening, it will be great to see her back in the kennels - albeit for a couple of hours! I know that now she is feeling a little better she is keen to get immersed in kennel life again, we all wish her a speedy recovery and hope she is back to full strength very soon. x Well can you believe it's the weekend again?! We have a roadshow at the Blue Cross Fete in Bromsgrove on Saturday if you are in the area, and with viewings booked, I will raise my glass of rather nice red wine in a toast to our boys & girls - may they be lucky enough to find their special someone this weekend. Have a great weekend one and all - cheers! Angie x

Well mom has been doing some research and it appears that there is something called a ‘Dun Brindle’ colour which runs through the Rocket Jet line. Rocket Jet is 9 generations back in my family tree on my birth moms line, got mom wondering...??..... Florence xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Mom was out all day last night which meant I was with daddy and Samantha. Samantha also disappeared for a bit then came back I was very happy to see her! Then mom finally returned! She said she brought something for me. Samantha asked if it was another Greyhound. Unfortunately it wasn’t. I could already tell what it was as I had my head in the bag the whole time until she got out my present! It was the best present ever! Sausages!!! Boy I love food but my favourite it sausages! I nearly ripped the whole bag up before she had a chance to give them to me! He he! Barney Xx
