2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Popped in today & met the lovely new arrival Ringo. What a soft kind & affectionate boy he is. Thank you Ringo for giving my ears a good washing....I must have not done a good job in the shower this morning. My little girl Bell was a bit jealous when she heard my voice so then insisted on nibbling me & giving my face and mouth an even bigger wash!!! I love all the residents but my little girl is very much a baby at 3 & desperately needs to be someone's Mummy or Daddy's girl. I wish I could have her but my current situation would not be right for her or my boys. Please people.....if you are considering a new dog, come and say hello to all our wonderful residents with their individual characters and quirks. They are waiting soooo patiently for just a chance to show their love and loyalty.

The much beloved Daisydog is 13 today. We have been together since she was 6 when I collected her one cold Sunday morning in November 2012. She brings joy into my life every day and through her I have made wonderful friends and had fabulous times. She reigns supreme at the seaside as the best dressed girl on the prom and has a very happy life. Daisydog remarks ‘ Every day I have a little drive out in the car and lots of treats - and although I am sometimes very wobbly I can still jump on the bed and have a little skip round the garden. Sending love to everyone who remembers me.....Seaside Birhday Wags Daisydog xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

This morning started off with a vet run. Paige and Razzle had the pleasure of visiting the vets. They both travelled beautifully in the car. By the time we got back the first walk had been done. Thanks as always to our Wednesday walkers. We were very short of volunteers this afternoon, so the residents each had some fun in the sand run. Thanks to Louise and Paul for taking them in. It was very quiet for visitors too. However gorgeous Rose popped in with her mom and dad to get a new muzzle as she had managed to 'do away' with the last one. She then had a turn in the sand run. I got to meet new arrival Ringo. He is such a happy lad and very affectionate. The weather forecast for the next few days looks as if it is going to be relatively dry. Too hot, too wet, too windy, we are never happy! After yesterday's monsoon I think some dry weather is called for, thankfully the drainage held up. We have a kennel full of beautiful hounds waiting for their forever homes. If you are contemplating getting a dog, please give us a call and come and pay us a visit. We are open 7 days a week from 10.00am until 4.00pm. These dogs are so laid back and lazy, they are, despite popular misconceptions low maintenance and do not need lots of exercise. Once you have had one, one is never enough!!! Great to hear that Ruth is finally on the road to recovery, it's been a long time coming for her. Hopefully now she is 'sorted'. Love and best wishes to her, she is very much missed at the kennels, but this doesn't mean that she rushes back, she needs to take it easy for a while. X

Hi. Wonder if any of your greys have had an issue with a large amount of protein being present in their urine? My girl is currently being treated for Stage 1 Kidney Disease, however, her BUN levels and creatatine levels are very good. Thanks, would appreciate your comments.
