2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
It did eventually stop raining today but not until late this afternoon. 🙁 We didn't manage walks this morning, it was just too wet. Thanks so much to our lovely Diane and Heather who still came in especially to walk the dogs. They had a cup of coffee instead! :)) Richard and I did a home visit for Bubbles, she will be joining a lovely big Greyhound family of four! Xxx Our new arrivals are gorgeous! Razzle, what a handsome boy! The two little girls, Wendy and Paige and very dainty and very pretty. They have been paired together for a long time at their racing kennels. It would be so nice if they found a forever home together too! XX Our French students bathed all the new arrivals, Lucy took the photos of Razzle and I'm sure will take new photos of Wendy and Paige later in the week. Xxx It was great to see Ruth again today, Tig and Momma came too. I think my four must have been studying the weather forecast as not one of them wanted to come with me today, I had a very lonely drive to and from the kennels. :(( A huge thank you to everyone who came in to help us today. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

There is sometimes something exciting about being at the kennels in torrential rain!!!!! However, I am hoping it clears up as we have a busy day! I am off to the vets in a while with the most gorgeous Cach (she reminds me of Wispa) for her vaccination and we have 3 new arrivals later today and if all goes well with the home check, little Miss Bubbles will be off to her new home :-))) Stay dry everyone! Ruth x

My poor Skip must be the unluckiest Greyhound I know! Just before I went home I thought he and Bobby would like a few minutes in the sand run. They were having a great time when there was a collision which resulted in Skippy ending up with a wound on his back. 🙁 Fortunately Fivelands was still open and I took him straight there. He had several staples to hold the wound together! He was a brave boy :)) Thanks so much to Christian, Jade and Julie at the vets for fitting him in and looking after him. :)) That is the third time he has been, bitten apparently by accident! I'm beginning to get suspicious! Sending my lovely lad a big cuddle tonight. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

A trip to the vet first thing for our delightful Billy to have the first part of his vaccination. He met a little Shih Tzu when we got out of the car. He was great with her, didn't really take any notice he was a perfect gentleman. 🙂 He was very good with Christian the vet too. Our vets have new vaccination cards there is a lovely photograph of a certain Maisie and Monty on the front of them! :)) Vicky, now called Fizz went home this afternoon. 🙂 Such a lovely girl, she has been a pleasure to have at the kennels. Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for all their help today. Bella sorted out the chicken run, cleared the weeds that are growing oh so fast around it. 🙂 Xxx
